You can't stop it.


Actually, I'm looking forward to sit since I was taking a break from champions last time it rolled around (and missed the destroid invasion after). Do you think Cryptic will make any announcements around that time? Speculate.

Edit: Okay, that was a (bad) joke. I really meant the second part--do you think there's going to be anything new about it this year and do you think they might say anything about the game long-term?

    Oh no! It's the easily avoided and rather innocuous pop song! Quick, Robin, to the out-of-proportion player grousing machine!

    As far as announcements go, I hope so, if not on the anniversary, then soon afterward. It's time for our long winter of (major new) non-content to come to an end.

    I think the song is cute, it's just fun to tease. When I first heard it I thought they'd keep adding songs every year. It's not to late to record a dubstep version. :3

    Oh no, I get to listen to a bunch of grown people complain about a cute song that they created for the game for two straight weeks again when all they have to do is avoid the Ren Center every hour.
    Champions Online player since September of 2008, forumite since February of 2008.

    I have all NPC voiceovers turned off since, well, kinda feels like forever. So Sapphire's failing is a complete non-factor for me anyway.

    And it's not like all Champions save for (maybe) Ironclad aren't already a parody of a supergroup.

    So, nothing new in this department.

    I have all the sound off, can't stand it. so it's not a problem for me.
    I turned it on breifly for a rampage, then did Kevin poe and turned it off, mid fight.

    eh, its a cute thing, i dont hate it, it fits champions campy 80s cartoon vibe, ll of them had a musical episode. which usually was just the lead characters lip-synching the opening cedits song.. as for will they announce anything, or even speaking to the playerbase again, it would be nice, but not exactly holding my breath.

    It's not bad, I mean it isn't great either, but it's not really worth actively avoiding like the first sewer mission in the game.

    I actually like it myself, but I stopped pretending that to be hardcore I needed a bloody stump every 5 seconds to feel special or incomprehensible screeching music a long time ago.

    while the song is bearable and at times mildly enjoyable for me (depending on mood)

    i personally enjoy the Mad Bot's music

    Personally, I'm not fond of this song... It's... so amateur that it makes Rebecca Black's Friday look good... I hope they've made a better song. Something written by a professional song writer and sun by a professional singer.

    Also, everybody keeps saying "comming" Do you mean "coming"?

    Professional song by a professional song writer? Wow, you got several thousand dollars to spare then? I mean seriously you are talking about blowing any budget they might have for development for one song?

    I just got that song out of my head last week! :mad:

    jk :smile: I love this time of year. Anni, Halloween, Winter Event all one right after the other.

    To quote one of the nerdiest nerd ever: This is like Christmas, my first BMX bike and meeting the cast of Firefly all-in-one.

    While, none of the above applies to ME in RL, the nerd sentiment is easily felt and understood.

    If it was just cheesy, I could live with it. Sapphire bit Jem and The Holograms, though, and that's just unforgivable.
