But seriously, I'd like some advice for a solid "pure Ice" build without just making a Glacier and shuffling what powers come when - as little I know about freeforms, that's probably what I'd end up doing if left to my own devices...
And no, I'm not basing the character concept on Elsa. As far as you know. Though I might be tempted to make one of her costumes an homage costume...
Specializations: Ego:Force of Will(2/2) Ego:Insight(3/3) Ego:Follow Through(3/3) Ego:Sixth Sense(2/3) Guardian:Fortified Gear(3/3) Guardian:Ruthless(2/2) Guardian:Find the Mark(2/3) Guardian:The Best Defense(3/3) Vindicator:Aggressive Stance(2/2) Vindicator:Merciless(3/3) Vindicator:Focused Strikes(3/3) Vindicator:Offensive Expertise(2/2) Mastery:Ego Mastery(1/1)
Picked Stormbringer since ya dun really need Cold Snap for this build, and Stormbringer is better defensively (esp vs. Gravi). Quarry could also be used (as could Fiery Form). Ice Wall is to help roll MSA w/o having to use Conviction. Firesnake is just to optimize the build's dmg; ya can replace it and some of the later powers if they dun fit ur concept.
Avalanche is so amazing in so many situations I'd want it as soon as possible.
I suppose, but to me, it always felt like it was "too big" to be anything but a final finisher sort of reaching-the-peak-of-my-powers sort of move best fitting the levelcap.
I just think it'd be easier to level from level 20-40 with Avalanche than without it. Especially since your only kind of AE is Wall of Ice until Snow Storm. If thematic growth of your powers is more important that quality of life conveniences then go for it. Whatever is more fun to you is best.
Frankly, the tricky bit will be pulling off the costume(s) I have in mind...
One, obviously, as homage to Frozen, will be an (attempted) imitation of Elsa's dress. shouldn't be too tricky... I hope.
The other is a bit... stranger.
See, it stemmed from a back-to-back viewing of Frozen and Hellsing Abridged - that gave me the idea of Elsa in the style of Alucard. Which fits considering that one could argue her control over ice, if used with a more malevolent and combat-minded person in control, could be exceptionally formidable, considering it was so potent she iced-over a whole town and harbor within a day or so purely by accident
And I can see it so easy.
Blue in place of the red, lighter blue for the paler stuff like the hat-band, white suit instead of grey, shades the purple of her coronation-outfit cloak and the gloves are the dark teal-ish color of the coronation-outfit gloves, with a snowflake in place of the pentacle
The hard part is the fact that there's no hat that really matches Alucard's flat-and-wide-brimmed one (though one of the hats from the High plains Drifter set comes very close) , and no way at all to imitate his iconic duster-over-a-suit look since both the duster and suit are Jacket category and thus impossible to layer...
Maybe the Gunslinger hat from Hats and Heads? (I believe); that's the Manhunter uses...
Hmm, maybe, I'll have to think about it. Gonna need to wait until next month's stipend to get it anyway - used this month's to buy Q to get the Snowball Roll TP.
