    I'd start
    with these for
    obvious reasons

The show frequently uses water and ice interchangeably. While I wouldn't recommend using more than 1-2 of each power type, since you don't want to play with 10 damaging attacks, you can obviously use Ice powers for ice attacks and I find that Force has a number of attacks that could be used to represent water (and come conveniently in a blue, waterycolor!)

Any idea of how it would look as a build

Not familiar enough w/ the show to know what powers to select. Any quick primers on that front?

well first you would need to determine what you would want to use more heavily in the build, wind and earth, or fire and ice. most of your likely builds would be glass cannons, unless you wanted to put a stronger focus on earth, then you could possibly look into tanking.

Have you considered mixing martial arts w/an elemental set?

The Stormbringer passive is ideal for that as it buffs crushing, electrical, and cold damage. It would easily buff power picks form Might, Martial Arts, Heavy Weapons, Electric, Cold, and Wind power sets. Also the passive is a surprisingly sturdy one. Since it offers high levels of resistance to some of the most common damage sources in the game.

My Windfist Martial Arts build is based loosely on the whole "Air Bending" concept. It's my attempt to simulate the elemental-martial arts style in the Avatar series.

She's sticking mostly with earth and ice but still wants at least one fire and wind power

Does she have a role in mind?

For Ranged DPS I'd suggest using Stormbringer as a passive.

If she wants to do a lot of elemental pets though, it'd be better to go support and use AoED or AoPM.

Sweet. With that she'll be able to use Earth, Air, and Ice under Stormbringer. Fire won't be buffed, but she can still pick up a few thematic skills. Maybe the block?

Rimefire is a definite skill to pick up too. Builds off of both fire and Ice. Perfect for an elementalist.

Here is a combination of stuff that go in synch with each other for lots of crushing, ice and fire damage.

Play around with it but this is how this build works.

Hurricane for close enemies, Stone Shot for ranged groups that also applies staggered.
Flashfire and Fissure work for all situations.
Typhoon to finish off enemies especially if you stacked staggered with Stone Shot.
Upheaval and Ice Cage to knock and root those annoying enemies.
The block combined with Fissure's advantage will keep you protected and heal while in it.

As for gear just get your Ego up as high as you can and let innate stats do the rest.

The best part is that, in Avatar/Korra, Lightning is a Fire power. Since Earth does crushing damage then you could get all four elements that way. :D

Fire Snakes is a good fire power to go with Ice, especially if you want to show that you are using more than one element at a time.

See, this is why I offer general advice instead of specific builds. People like Crypticbuxom are Much better at build tweaking than me :)

Also: Now I want an elementalist :P

This is relevant to my Interests

My First Character I created in CO was supposed to be an Elemental Mage (right now he is stuck as Grimoire until I become Subscriber) and until now I had been searching for a Black Mage Build on the Forums

If the OP still need more Builds, I suggest some which I have Bookmarked among the Forums:

Helbjorn's build from this Old Forum Post
    helbjorn wrote: »
This is my revamped Elementalist build. It lays down massive overlapping AoE damage with excellent synergies between the elemental powers.

Fire: flight, Flashfire, part of Fissure, and Empathic Healing. Clinging Flames supplies energy return from Thermal Reverb. Empathic Healing colored orange makes it look like you are using fire to heal your wounds.
Ice: energy builder, Ice Sheathe, and part of Hurricane. Chilled creates random ice cages for roots.
Air: Hurricane and Wind Barrier. Repels keep enemies back.
Electricity: Sparkstorm, part of Hurricane, and Electric Sheath. Negative Ions creates arcing between targets for additional AoE damage and causes knockback through Sparkstorm.
Earth: Stone Shot and part of Fissure. Stagger from Stone Shot causes knock up through Fissure. Unbreakable can represent hardening your skin to stone.

Stormbringer buffs your Electric, Ice, Wind, and Crushing (Earth) damage. Only Fire is unbuffed, and it's mostly present for your energy return.

Open with Stone Shot to apply an AoE Stagger, close to melee and lay down Flashfire and Fissure, click Sparkstorm, and clean up with Hurricane. Most mobs will be knocked up, knocked back, repelled, rooted, or severely slowed so that few will be able to hurt you. Even Supervillains melt quickly under 4 simultaneous AoE's.

Gear for some extra REC and END as well as +Crit/+Severity, +Dodge/+Avoidance, and +Cooldown Red./+Energy Cost Red. As long as you have a Flashfire down and are stacking Concentration, energy will not be an issue.

I really want to use Typhoon

May Switch DEX for CON for Survability though... or I could only use HEALTH Gear and Mods

Stormbringer can be replaced with Quarry and EGO/DEX/INT being replaced with DEX/CON/INT (so INT boost the Quarry Ego Bonus)
