What is SUO?

I had some preAlert gear, named 'Modified SUO Weaponry-SUO specializes in covertly and subtly eliminating superhuman threats'.
Is SUO some secret goverment agency?
Secret organization?
Private army?
Bunch of armed chinchillas?
Or just some random gun name?
What SUO stands for?

    In the Champs Uni as presented in the PnP books, SUO stands for "Special Unit Omega," an elite unit of Millennium City's police department. While MC, like most major American cities, has its Metahuman Activities Response Squad (MARS) for coping with super threats, SUO are the most highly-trained and heavily-armed team within MARS, tasked with going toe-to-toe with major-league superhumans, using cutting-edge equipment.

    SUO is written up in the book, Cops, Crews, And Cabals. I have to say, though, that "subtly and covertly eliminating superhuman threats" doesn't match their m.o. as presented in that book. They're not assassins, more like SWAT dialed up to 11.

    probably MCPD Special Unit Omega, the next level super villain response squad beyond MARS which is already mentioned in game i believe

    You can read about them in Cops, Crews and Cabals.

    For a couple dollars more, you can get both the hard copy and the PDF, from the Hero Games online store. And the hard copy is new, not used.
