Would be interesting if they added a living fire/ice attack for Takofanes,
Forcing players to search and destroy these things around the MC map before the timer runs out.
It would allow teams of players to co-ordinate attacks and give a layer of complexity to complete the event.
If you don't kill those targets in time, it can either heal Takofanes , increase his damage significantly or if you want to be nasty, KILL all players on the instance ( probably a bit extreme but maybe just
all players participating in the fight)
Its sad that we never got those travel powers that transform you to such a degree. This was a time before our vehicles and it could have been a better path to how vehicles could have been.

It really doesn't seem like such a stretch when you think about something like bat flight, sure it would be nice to be able to attack while in wolf form, but just think of how many werewolf characters there are in CO. People would want this power just for role play reasons alone.
You have a wolf model (such as it is) you have other re-skins of the same power, seems like a no brainer.
Also, while I'm not a fan of vehicles, I am trying to give them a Halloween crate idea here.

What if, just before Tako goes up, all the undead heroes reset and in order to get to Tako they all need to be defeated within a set amount of time? As for increasing the difficulty of the undead heroes themselves, well it would be nice to keep them at a level where lower level characters can help defeat them.
Tako himself I wouldn't mind seeing beefed up a bit.
Where Tako normally spawns, could be a portal to a new zone. This space could be an indoor environment restricting vehicles, and would also allow for more people to get in on the action as there wouldn't be the rest of zone players milling around.

That's not a bad idea. Fight him in a pocket dimension.
For any of the transforming travel powers, bat flight, etc., I always thought it would make sense if the transformation only happened in "high gear". So at max speed you're a bunch of bats and when you enter combat, poof, you're a vampire again.
For a Wolf Run maybe 'first gear' you run up right. Then 'second gear' you drop to all fours. And when you hit 'high gear' you turn into a wolf. How's that sound?

Well it would be cool but I somehow doubt it's something that they'd bother to do. I'm not opposed, but I'd just be happy if there was a travel power that let you turn into a wolf.
For a costume set or even standalone pieces, I'd love to see some torn/tattered stuff other than zombie, as well (i.e medium skirts, sleeves etc for an old witch/vampire whatever toon) .
Plus: *Spider Necklace & earrings
I suggest these every year, practically, lol. To compliment the Halloween Webbed set we have. Two pieces, is all I'm asking!
@Malckuss01 did some great designs for the Design a Costume Set, which include spider earrings, and a Crown, which was also very nice. Throw in @Lilsteffie's Steel Arachnid set as well; I think a "Spider"-themed set with all these ideas combined would be a nice release for this year's Halloween!
Here's another idea, that rambling monster stride that you get with the Halloween become devices? The default movement we get from become Frankenstien or mummy? Why not let us have that as a stance we get to choose from the tailor?
Personally I'd love a Become Werewolf hunter. I love playing as those guys.
They do have the become werewolf devices, might be a cool idea if we had the werewolf hunter become devices as well. Although I'm not sure how popular these become devices are now that we have vehicles.
Point: we already lose vehicles in every alert but 3, even though they all take place outdoors except harmon labs and arguably a day at the mall/the ending of pyramid power (iirc). Can we not lock content away from people who spent lots of money to get these things? I get that they're pretty strong, but they're also hella expensive to buy and trick out. It's getting rather frustrating how many calls there are for me to not be allowed to use the *15* of them I spent my money on, and I rarely get a chance to use them as is.
Just sayin.
In game, I am @EvilTaco. Happily killing purple gang members since May 2008.
It's not like coming in first gives you better rewards now. Just sayin. Then again, I tend to use my actual characters in those fights. I just hate to see content gated from a major aspect of the game. Vehicles, like it or not, are a major aspect of the game.
I oppose this just like I'd oppose people bringing the summon champions devices in. Anything to make it easier. We all get the same chances of a drop in the end.

-Since we're getting an advanced Pharaoh set, maybe one can hope for advanced Frank set (suggested before) and advanced Ghost set ? Oh that would rock.
-Streamlining the Takofight would be good too, removing some effects would help the lag issues, especially that shadow thing on your screen when you get close to him.

Anything to make it easier. We all get the same chances of a drop in the end.
Really? Anything to make it easier? At this point, toons generally need to show up, hit the boss with an attack or two, and then wait for the reward.
I don't want the game to be too tough, but I found Blood Moon way more satisfying a few years back when you weren't guaranteed an easy autowin on every single boss.
Drops are nice, but so is a little challenging gameplay.
It's a cosmic that level 10 people can stumble across. There's still a dps gate to even place.
Some crazy bastard still has to tank that.
I'm all about harder content, but you really want some new player trying to find the headquarters of the supergroup he heard so much about being facerolled by a cosmic with like a trillion hit points? Thanks for cherry picking, though. I'd hate to think that... wait he still went down years ago after a minute or so, didn't he?
Yeah, he did.
Sorry you don't have a vehicle?

Preferable sidesaddle for combat speed, switching to the forward facing straddle powers at full speed. Or maybe even two powers, like athletics and acrobatics, one sidesaddle and the other forward facing.
Also, acrobatics & superspeed skins using properly sped up bestial & bestial huge animations would be nice.

Yeah, he did.

I remember being in West Side during Blood Moon way back with low level toons. It was thrilling to try to take part in battles with powerful enemies, even if I got killed.
Now, I can just take a level 12 toon into a fight with a big group, use my tier 1 attack a bunch, and get the reward. If I have a vehicle, it's even easier.
I didn't even bother during the latest Blood Moon. It just isn't fun to click, wait, collect reward.
First off, I'd say to add a Tako Alert. (VWOORRRP VWOOORRP TAKO ALERT TAKO ALERT)
That way people who want to take on a ridiculously tough (as in, his attacks are very powerful, his health is high, and maybe even a 'summon more undead' mechanic where he pulls a Rakahasha and summons enemies who attack the players severely, him being a necromancer) Tako in groups of just five, with the Alert restriction on vehicles, can do so. Give them questionite for ten successful Alert wins, and a cutscene, it'll be a hit.
This will make players who don't explore and find Tako end up trying the Alert, seeing the enemy, seeing how tough he is, and should they ever come across the overworld version after, feel proud of how much stronger they've gotten since the last time they faced the necromancer.
It's a trick to get players feeling accomplished.
Next, wipe out all citizens in Millenium City except the important NPCs for the holiday. Replace them with zombie and ghost enemies, all hostile. They should be weak, but still a hassle in large groups, and should have the citizen wandering around the city idle behaviour, respawning if they go too far off their scripted path if not in combat.
Next, make there be a party of monsters in the Minefield, Caprice, and any party suitable locations.
It will be a smash. Players will come in a flash. Even the ghouls will dash... to the Monster Mash!
A-oooo.... A, e, awoooooo... e awooo.... e awooo...
And, lastly, dig into the villains suitable for new Alerts and encounters from the PnP! Do we have a mummy enemy in the game? I vaguely recall a egyptian mummy somewhere in the books as an encounter for international heroes: museum mission available from SOCRATES, perhaps?
And, addition to my lastly, make SOCRATES' hologram look like a terrifying monster's face at random intervals. That or the hologram of Doctor Destroyer's Helm at the Destroid Factory-Museum.
Comments
2. Make the undead heroes much better. Give them better defenses, higher damage, and some kind of nasty aura/passive.
3. Make the fight against Takofanes worthy of an entire zone of 100 heroes. Give him better defenses, more added mobs, higher damage, and more AoEs.

New effects for old powers
More EXP for Adventure Packs please.

What's the problem
So maybe make it a alternate skin for an existing travel power then? What about super jump?
