Power Skins

Some people like certain powers, but not how they look. Sometimes people like how powers look for one concept, but not another. This has been mentioned before, but I gave it an official suggestion: Power Skins.

Like the Auras tab, there is a Power Skins tab. You slot a Power Skin over a Power. If that Skin does not go with that power, it says "That item does not go there" like with Gear or Devices. If it does, the Power Skin makes completely cosmetic changes to the powers.


Here are some examples of ones I and others have suggested or would like, some of which are already made:

Two Gun Mojo - Blaster Mojo: Changes the sound effects to "Pewpew" instead of "Bangbang" and makes the shots more glowy

Telekinetic Eruption - No Aura: A really basic one that just removes the clear thing from Telekinetic Eruption

Reaper's Caress - Musketeer's Blade: Changes the animation to a Fencing Animation

Ego Blade - Superego Blade: Changes the animation to a Fencing Animation (Sword-and-dagger animation for Id Blades)

Epidemic - Fallout: Changes the dark toxic clouds into glowing radioactive clouds

Telekinetic Lance - Nerve Snap: Changes the Lance and animation into something more like an Ego Blast with a blast that narrows to a tip

Expulse - Repulsion: Changes Expulse effects and animations into that one the Dark Magic Nemesis Minions have

Shadow Bolt - Ghostly Gaze: Replaces the animation and effects with the energy builder from Become Ghost

Shadow Blast - Ecto Scream: Replaces the animation and effects with the energy builder from Become Ghost

Infernal Bolts - Venom Spit: changes it to the effect and animation that those Qliphothic Imps have

Infernal Blast - Toxic Spit: changes the animation to a spitting animation

Radiance - Demonic Bolts: changes the effects and animation to that Qliphothic Demonic Bolt power

Rebuke - Demonic Blast: changes the effects and animation to that Qliphothic Demonic Blast power

Celestial Conduit - Demonic Conduit: changes the effects and animation to that Qliphothic Conduit power

Celestial Conduit - Twisted Conduit: changes the effects and animation to that Nephilim Twisted Conduit power

Illumination - Twisted Illumination: changes the effects and animation to that Nephilim Twisted Illumination power

Telekinetic Assault - Destructive Focus: removes all the current effects and animations and changes to subtle ones more like commonly depicted Telekinesis with just mind and not hand waves

Telekinesis - Telekinetic Lift: Removes the animation but not particle effects from Telekinesis


There are more I will add later, especially on request.

    New effects for old powers

    More EXP for Adventure Packs please.

    This seems like the beginnings of a good idea. It might also be an answer to the "how do I get white/black powers?" question players always ask. I would expand it further and let any two powers be slotted over each other. For example, slot celestial conduit over devour essence so I could use devour essence with celestial conduit sfx. Would probably have to make it so long range powers could slot over short range, but not vice-versa.
