    The effect in sales of the Wii U this has had is insane. Ive ran out of Wii U's twice this week and the wholesaler is now saying they themselves are out of stock. Its proof if any is needed that no matter how dead you think a product is a good advert can turn its fortunes around.

    Yeah, hardware sales because of Mario Kart 8 got to 666% in a week in the U.K. Crazy. I myself caved and got my own Wii-U because..well..it's Mario Kart...oh and a free Wind Waker HD along with it sounded really sweet.
