Permanent Call up a Gang War Devices

I've made this suggestion before and I think its time I brought it up again:

how about adding a permanent Call up a Gang War like device to the 5k mobs defeated perks?

it would summon a group of the defeated enemy type scaled to level to fight for you for the same amount of time as the consumable device, but the permanent device would have a longer cooldown, say 10-15 minutes.

I think this could be very fun to play around with and would add a little more incentive to farming mobs for the perk.

the device would bind to character when the perk is earned much like Omega Destroid Stomp.

Characters already owning a 5k perk would get the device for that perk automatically. Only one "Gang War" device can be equipped to a character at once.

Making them an uber rare drop on top of how rare the consumable version is would be a great way to get players to go out there and farm all content again to get that ideal summoning device. I'd certainly like that one device from Whiteout being added to the list of potential permanents.

this would be a perk reward for 5000 kills, making it an uber rare drop only screws the unlucky, just as rampage tokens do.

As how rewards are granted through perks, this would only punish players who have gotten the 5k perks already, making them have to farm the 5k again on a new character. Making it a rare chance means that newer low level players can find them too and use them throughout the leveling process.

This is of course basing the chance at a drop to around how often power replacers used to drop. A few hours of consistent farming while playing missions would get you one or maybe two different ones by time you are level 25.

why not make them redeemable for some ungodly amount of SCR?

Actually that's a great idea, how about this:

200 MCPD Rep = Summon up Purple Gang, etc.
200 PSI Rep = Summon up PSI, etc.
200 UNTIL Rep = Summon up Lemurians, etc.

    You get the idea.

It's not like we have place to spend all those reps anyways...

This device I wouldn't mind having around. I do have a few characters who would at least theme wise be able to summon back ups. To add, how about nemesis perks for defeating X minions to receive "gang war" devices?

Nemesis perks only require you to kill 1000 to max the perk, so perhaps the device granted would have a longer cooldown?

Perhaps, but to get the 1000 kills is just as hard as 5000 since nem minions are not as frequent, unless you go to Monster island where the eggs drop orbs all the time to have minions spawn.

This would be awesome. I keep wanting to make a 'technically a villain, but works with heroes to take out competition' characters when I'm in a mood to laugh at anti-heroes and play as an anti-villain, a villain with heroic actions done for the purpose of fufilling villainy, but you can't easily do that without minions of some sort, because, hello, villainy?
I've generally sated my thirst for servants to call upon using zombies, but the thing about them is, they don't exactly have the brains to be in the crime business, and hiring mooks as contracted temps, aka the ones with a fixed number of charges, is just not good business for a crime lord.

I'd totally be /signed for this. If not as a perk, then as a drop at about the same rate the regular kind come up.

Make this happen, or some devs will sleep with the Lemurians.

Wait, that was far too threatening a finisher for this post.
    Or too dirty.
    Hmm.

When I farm mobs in Vibora, Call Up devices are fairly frequent. Likewise, Summon Golem devices are fairly frequent when farming land-based Lemurians on Monster Island.

I would be happy if devices like this were unbound. Then you could fill up on them in the AH.

Drifter Salvage. Otherwise RNG, because if they're any good, then every 40 with a completionist mindset will be grinding the hell out of low level MC and ruining the fun for everyone else. And if they're not good, who cares?
In game, I am @EvilTaco. Happily killing purple gang members since May 2008.

Need this. Especially if this applies to all enemy factions in game.
