@Staff: is There Something Wrong With The Game?

I figured I'd ask here, because...well, something happened.

I figured I'd launch CO, get some play in, when the launcher doesn't let me in. It just says 'Unable to authenticate:' and doesn't give a reason. I;ve even tried changing my password(albeit to the same thing) without any sort of success. What gives, yo?

    I was just looking for a thread on how to fix this. Seems like I'm not the only one with the problem :confused:

    no im having the same issue. cant authenticate and its not just champions I get the same message for star trek. and no replies anywhere to deal with it yet

    I guess the server took a vacation.
    Don't worry the CO staff come to work in 3-4 hours.

    8:56 AM mountain time and cannot authenticate here either.

    I posted this on Thursday, just after the maintenance.......

    We were doing some work on the account server as part of the maintenance. Nothing to worry about!

    ...and it was fixed quite quickly after that reply.


    However, I too am having the same problem again.

    Well there are a great many things wrong with the game, but since you mentioned something specific; yes. We just tried to log in to see if We could and the same thing happened to us.

    Yep, happening to me as well...looks like the server crashed again. No surprise though as what we maybe have 3 devs looking/working with this game? That's a conservative estimate as well.

    Es gibt aktuell ein Problem mit dem Account - Server, welcher es nicht gestattet einzuloggen.

    Das Problem wird untersucht und das Team arbeitet an einer Lösung. Wir halten euch auf dem aktuellen Stand.

    Where'd you get that from?

    UPDATE: Just had this show up in the english launcher: "Neverwinter is currently offline. We are aware of this issue and currently working on bringing the server back online as soon as possible". It wasn't there before.

    Odd, I thought it was my connection but looks like it isn't. (for the first time~)

    PLEASE FIX THE SERVER!!

    Need to try out a power for my build. :P

    Yep, the launcher's giving a new response. Evidently, it's a server issue.

    At the very least, we have our answer.

    Well the game still wont connect for me. But at least the red "we know there's a problem and we're working on it" box has appeared on the launcher now.

    There's also a note on STO's Facebook about the servers being down. Some electronics just can't handle that Memorial Day partying, I guess...

    Can't log in and it's almost noon central time. Oddly, I'm talking with friends that actually are in game and it's not just CO. It looks like I can't log into any Cryptic game.
