Debuffs - Personal or Shared?

So are debuffs like enemy damage and damage resistance personal to just you or are they shared across team members? Like if I don't apply Shred can my single blade benefit?

In rampage combat logs I can't tell. Like I think Frost Daggers hit for 20K base before debuffs and the actual base damage mirrors my calcs but in Rampages I wonder if anyone else is applying debuffs.

Thanks!

Can't say for sure, but if you want to know how you can tell:

Next time you do rampages, look at the debuff bar on the boss. Whatever debuffs you see, are working for you too. Just have someone else apply whatever debuffs you wish to know about, if you see them too, then you are benefitting from them as well.

Not so sure about that. You can only rupture your own bleeds for example. And I think spec debuffs are personal too that show up on the targets bar.

Rupture is a bit different anyways. You can only rupture bleeds you actually applied, even your own pets like wolves or zombies don't count.

I think for damage purposes, like Ebon Ruin, Fire Snake, Shred it will count for everyone. Demolish might be just for the user though.

Something else you might look at, is does the debuff on the actual tooltip say: Causes "target" to take more damage from certain attacks, or say causes "you" to deal more damage to the target.

If you conduct any testings, would love to hear the conclusions.

I build a character around this idea, and it works very well.

Using Crowd Control attacks to trigger Wither, Trapped, Sentinel Mastery, and Vulnerability.
Based on the few tests I did all were shared with very nice affect.

But like afew already said things can be tricky at times here, so it could very well be some are shared and other aren't.

Well debuffs w/ most effects for their dmg type are Shredded and Demo w/ BtB (and mental storm's, when stacked). It'd be harder to tell w/ one of the -10% or so debuffs since that can get lost in the 'noise' of base spell dmg variance.

I think Bleed's were specifically coded as they are to prevent one player from hogging all the glory and gaining an enormous rupture at the expense of other players. Allowing that kinda thing could lead to abuse. I dun think that just because they coded it that way that it means other debuffs are similar- only benefit the user. Though, as Ajanus said, the tooltip indicating 'your damage' and not general wording against the target could be a hint.

I am almost positive that Shredded works for other players. Testing w/ pets, Shredded from VF seemed to boost Command Animals, as did 4x Mental Storm w/ Consume Will, and Demo w/ BtB w/ the Arcane Construct. The base dmg (in parenthesis) on the combat log wasn't changed, but the final dmg was (since they were -resist debuffs).

Interesting. Any thoughts on debuffs? Like using Rank 1-3 Miniaturization Drive can cause 3 icons of Mini Drive on the target. Do you think the 19+22+25% debuffs all stack? Between CC, CS, Fear, Disorient, 3 stacks of Mini Drive plus 4 stacks of Shadow of a Doubt, I count 135% total damage debuffs which using Cryptic Math should reduce target damage ability by 42.5%

P.S. I just remembered Demolish could have multiple icons; Rank 1-3, plus tons of BtB all varied by charge time!!!

If they either show up in separate slots on the debuff row or stack, then yea I assume multiples of the same one will work. Exceptions would be if the stack is just refreshed (ala CS/CC) or caps (TP dots at 4x each).

I do believe most do stack, however I think there is a DR on -Damage Strength and -Resistance. I think it would take a quite a large number of different tests to work out the details though.

If I remember right, at -55% resistance the target only loses about 47% due to DR.

Also There is a soft cap on -Damage strength on bosses I think?
I don't know much myself but anymore than -25% should be hitting the soft cap I think.

All I really can say is these things would need to be heavily tested under controlled tests to work out just how everything is working.
