I predict we're about to get a deluge of nerfheads in on this thread telling us the solution is to nerf the heroes.
that's the solution to everything these days if you ask them after all.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Yea, sorry gradii you think the games fine... but... no. We know you still live in some fantasy world where you still believe vehicles are now under powered, even though they are now the more overpowered than ever, and that everything exists in perfect balance and harmony, despite you love to hug your munchkin builds with 2GM and such, but this game is not in any way shape or form balanced, and you can roll your eyes till the cows come home, it only demonstrates your unwillingness to actually accept the reality.
Take a toon with zero to no knock resistance and go up against a Force, Super Strength or TK Nemesis and get knocked around!
Joking aside, I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I only attack with the frequency my nemesis does, to make it more...interesting. Like Elite + doing that is passable IMO.
I'd like it if they had a lower waiting period between attacks (Nemesis and nemesis minions that is), so it would be feasible to take in a team and have everyone take part properly.
It would be nice if the development focus was taken off vehicles in CO and focused on the core parts of the game, not the severely over emphasised concept of vehicles in CO. (Granted it was asked for by the player base, but it has since overwhelmed CO to the extent that the powers system and anything relating to missions and content has been marginalized to say the least.)
I'd love to see an extended development period focused on reviewing CO, it's playable content and powers. I am sure there are many players including myself who would welcome such a review with the view to adjusting how things are in CO. They did something like that for the 'Bug-Splat-a-thon' and that turned out quite well, so much so that the amount of bugs reported by the forum users (which does in no way reflect the game pop.) could not all be addressed.
POWERFRAME REVAMPS, NEW POWERS and BUG FIXES > Recycled Content and Events and even costumes at this point Introvert guy who use CO to make his characters playable and get experimental with Viable FF Theme builds! Running out of Unique FF builds due to the lack of updates and synergies! Playing since 1 February 2011 128 + Characters (21 ATs, 107 FFs) ALTitis for Life!

Correct me if I'm wrong, since I haven't been entirely keeping up on most discussions on balance, but I feel like most people who think the game is too easy are suggesting making the enemies stronger/difficulty settings matter more, instead of just saying to nerf characters.
Speaking of that, yeah, making Nemesis' more threatening like us would help that.
Devana Hawke? Madstone? Hrodegir? Those guys are kind of threatening! Nemesis' could be like trying to fight one of those dudes solo.
oh the game's far from perfect, but instead of blindly and bluntheadeadly insisting that reducing hero power, making the game less impressive and less dynamic is the only way to fix it, why not rebalance enemies and enemy AI to make things more balanced and interesting?
think about it, we're superheroes. not dungeon crawlers. we need epic challenges for our epic power levels, not less power to match the lame challenges we have.:rolleyes:
You know it's always funny when you make these comments coming from you specifically Gradii. And telling me to think about it, it's ironic considering you never think about it. We are super heroes fighting super villains and yes, no matter how you paint it, we are dungeon crawlers. Whether it's in some fantasy dungeon or sneaking through the rafters of some warehouse while stalking criminals, it's still a dungeon crawl.
And keep rolling your eyes, I am still waiting for you to actually prove me wrong in several other threads you stuck your foot in your mouth on. And considering you are often the first in line to whine when something is actually challenging or hard, but praise easy encounters like Gravitar as "appropriately" challenging because they have anti-team mechanics. I am often impressed by the amount of reaching you do.
It's also impressing you believe this game is remotely balanced in power picks, but then again, everyone of your builds is so cherry picked of course you wouldn't want to lose that level of overpoweredness.
I agree to an extent but it should be an option mainly. I don't think it should always be the case. The issue I have with this is that not all characters are meant to be powerful in themselves. The character that simply hires people to antagonize the hero and all that would not be powerful by his or herself. So for that reason, it seems like it should be an optional thing. I'd hate to think the nemesis I made who only hires people to do his dirty work while hiding behind a wall of money and influence could trade blows with my hero who can go toe to toe with Grond or Kiga. In short, more options and variety for the nemesis system as opposed to a unilateral increase in the hardness/toughness of the nemesis character.
"I tried to look at that page but saw only inane comments."
You can get a slightly tough Nemesis fight by setting difficulty to Elite and entering the Lava Temple at the top of the volcano on Monster Island.
You nemesis will show up about 20% of the time with a batch of elite minions, and you'll have to fight some level 41 lemurian mobs at the same time.
It still isn't that hard, though.
I had that happen ,while we had the nemesis, escalating, hit points bug. That was a great bug
I got him up to 5million before I left the Lemurian antiquities mission.
Maybe if we could form a petition or some sort of highly backed request to CN we could get development time forced into the Nemesis System, or even a new system.
In general it needs to be spruced up and looked after, there's no dispute there. I also very much dislike the amount of CD between nemesis missions, it does make RP and general continuation of nemesis missions a little tedious.
I'd love it if our nemesis appeared in the open world or even if we could/ were forced to team up with them for a mission or something....

Shoot...I'd be happy with something as simple as adding health and damage to the poor guy.
The entire Nemesis system needs a huge overhaul. But I'll be really surprised if we ever get any real work done here though. CO isn't a priority. . . . Man, it's really hard to not bad mouth Cryptic on any post I make about big things the game needs.
CO needs:
1. New areas and a new level cap.
2. A major review of the Nemesis system.
3. Bug fixes that have been around since launch. (There are parts of Canada that still haven't been fully rendered.)
4. A serious review of the Lairs and adding new ones.
5. Make more Comic Series and make them all more relevant in the long term.
But they're not going to do any of that. CO has been on the back burner since Star Trek Online and maybe even removed from the stove all together since Neverwinter (yeah, what the world really needs is another mmo where in you hit orcs with swords). I fear all we can really expect is more costumes, auras and travel powers until the game stops making enough money to keep the servers up.
Comments
hmm I might try that myself. Beware, people will hate you on Alerts .

My super cool CC build and how to use it.
Now all Nems have TGM, Force Geyser, Strafe Run, EM, ES/NM, Ascension, and pack MD+Unbreakable w/ CDR gear.
Have fun, heroes!
- Be safe and have fun, champs - for science!
We also must have Dinos, Eruption and Elixir, why not? Time to buy keys and open Legacy Devices Box for our Nemesis!!!!!!!! Awesome.
Too nice. Now its time for Rampage: Nemesis! o3o
A Nemesis based Rampage would be AWESOME!
Someone please make that happen!

They died so fast I didn't even know they were there until I started looting corpses. Literally blink, they were dead.
If you are silver, you will get silver Nemesis.
If we are Lifer, we get Lifer Nemesis.
BALANCE!!!!
Yaaaaaaaaa! Jewel Cucumber! o3o
Cleaned up the thread. Please avoid insults and keep personal matters to private chat.
Gear and devices got better, or, at least, got easier to get.
Nemeses stayed the same.
At the very least, bump up Nem super stats across the board, and raise their offense and defense numbers significantly.

Most MMOs have vehicles/mounts.
Which have a customizable enemy?
