Some possible ideas for the co.

VEHICLES SYSTEM 3.0:
The vehicles are ugly and predecible cause they all are flying vehicles. Adding cars, real bikes, or mechanical beasts like some heroes mounting lions. This new types of vehicles will improve the resources you get from zens also will improve the variety of the combats. They can be added like we see cars in millenium city. Also you can add a customization to the vehicles, hero with costume yellow and green would be more happy if his vehicle is yellow and green. You can put some paint colors at bosses drop and some special colors in z-store for zens.

Colors:

You can put some paint colors at bosses drop and some special colors in z-store for zens.
Including in store, Each especial color 200 zen with 5 charges. Each time you spent 5 charges you will need to pay again 200 zen for the paint if you want repaint another vehicle.
You can also add vinils like flames or skulls for some vehicle parts.

Racing:

Racing system. You did a nice race when alien gladiator appeared, but why stopped there. Make a monthly tournaments. With race maps. Winners get g as prize in each race and monthly winner gets a special prize when win. That requieres a new maps for different races and make a right speed controls. You can put attacking factors at races like walls or things so people use their guns. But important make a different race type for ground than for air cause with this system you gain more money thanks to the needed of 2 different vehicles type.

HIDEOUTS:

Add more functions to them so people can train skills with training dummies. or duel in private with their friends. Improving the hideout functions you will sell more hideouts.

NEW LANDS, NEW LEVELS CAPS:

Alerts are good implements, but 2 minutes combat or event 10 minutes combat with rampages arent enough fun for get new players. You have to make a more lands and make the people use the old lands. Actually most of people cant kill kigatilik or even dinosaur or monkey. Cause not a lot canadian maps or monster island maps #. Doing more lands and removing a bit of the xp alerts gives people will return to the old lands to level up and explore. Actually CO become a massive farm and easy leveling game but lost a fun most of dungeons arent using and is a bit bad. You almost can remove all maps and stay only with kigatilik, dinosaur and monkey at mc.

Good idea use all lands, and increase one new map each 2 years minimum. About level cap is good add new gear but people need new objectives. Also increasing dungeons and different enemies, you can adds more things to zen store and to questionite store. Like more costumes and maybe thinking a bit more archetypes and travel powers. Using the new added enemies and bosses as a example. About open mission return the devices to them if they removed. And please no more event updates with a ugly lockboxes as a prize. Isnt fun a event who requieres a money for get the prize.

PLAYERS CUSTOMIZATION:

I know you dont want let people make a fat characters. But why no? Some of most fun characters at games are a big big big characters with this i dont mean make players big as Grond but maybe less discrimination to some apparence of the people. Stereotype of thinness can be a bit offensive like people are of all weights. And this add can increase a bit the characters customization and you can get more costumes for this character appearance.

NEW VILLAINS AND LORE:

This game was created from a paper game like neverwinter did, but i am sure therakiel wasnt the last combat of the game. Also one good thing rol games have is the possibility of create new stories and new enemies. You should do it cause extends the life of the game and increase people who came and is interested in get a subscriptions.

LOCKBOXES:

Add lockboxes is great but why spend in keys or in zens if vehicules drops are new but a visual copy of the ones you get in store. Also they can improve to mk2 and get almos same advantage than the zen bought vehicles. Make the vehicles drops of boxes be more unique doing the vehicle model be unique to the not zen store ones. More rare vehicles at boxes, more keys bought.

LOOT:

Loot have a bit problems white costumes drops with same hard than blue or purple. Make a nice dropping system counting white items drops more easy than blue and blue more easy than purple. Cause nothing more frustrating than a game without content is a game without content and need 2 years for see a white costume drop.

FOUNDRY:

Yes or No? Lets see with foundry more content less pressure for devs. And they can focus more in bigger updates like new lands and level caps. Without foundry less content and more pressure for them cause a community is a players weapon for improve the game.

NUMBERS:

Paint: 200 zen --> 5 charges
Vinils: 500 zen each stack of 5 different designs.
Ground vehicles: Each mk1 1250 zen, each mk2 1650.
Fun increased in game= 100% at vehicles, 200% at content
Subscription increased= 25% Is a estimation based in the people who was paying who left cause content problems.

    Unfortunately, we won't have land vehicles due to technical limitations. It's been explained in other posts. We don't tilt to match the surface we are on, so something like a car would look odd going up a hill as it would stay horizontal and the front end would be in the hill. It was joked the only possibility would be a unicycle.

    The cars are geos that follow a track designed by the terrain they aren't our characters and programmed to follow a simple path. And curling us up in a ball with the sphere travel power didn't make us orient to the ground other than making sure we stood 90 degrees to it.

    Land based vehicles are not possible.

    Period.

    It was explained many times and no amount of wishful thinking can change that.

    read again what i said. If ground movement isnt possible why characters and mobs can. Leg movements can be used on vehicles like in mans or beasts. Or you cant make a vehicle with the leg moving system like a characters? cant move in ground having legs? Use brain instead accept what they said like seems they answered to the cars and motorbikes idea not a beast movement based vehicle. Not all vehicles need wheels to move. Also move in 90 degrees is simple vehicles need at least one weak point.

    Seems instead find another ways if they say cant be possible is like when god tell you: You cant walk on water or breath in space. Thanks to god we have people who have imagination to make us breath in space.

    AND REMEMBER SHORT MIND USER DINOSAUR IS WALKING IN THE GROUND OF MONSTER ISLAND BEFORE VEHICLES EXISTS. AND MOUNT A DINOSAUR CAN BE A VEHICLE TOO.

    Read a bit about the nice not wheeled vehicles in gaming story and films. Exosystem of alien, mechcommander vehicle, and why not say starwars vehicles like seems they copy some of starwars vehicles already. Like the grab bikes remembering us a bit endor race at starwars.

    Is in Ancient Sumerian?

    They are always positioned at the same vertical angle.

    You were told that cars in MC are following pre-programmed pathes. That's why they can adjust.


    CO game engine doesn't make it possible.

    The same is true also for STO.

    Only NW has version of engine when it works. Which may not be possible to transplant into CO.


    But you are free to your pointless wishful thinking and arguing with anyone trying to explain things to you.


    Especially since this thing with engile limitation was explained by trailturtle and it was one of the things that were tried by devs whenthey were making vehicles.

    If something is not feasible, then it isn't. Closing your eyes, clenching fists and repeating "I want I want I want make it happen" will not change things magically.

    And you keep focused in the cars of millenium city keep reading my initial post i said too beast based vehicles but seems you read first 2 words of the posts and after it you repeat same thing like a parrot. Leg based vehicles arent possible? answer this question. We all based in leg system.

    Your mind is desilusional cause you read 2 words and you want move down the ground vehicles idea based just in that. Give me answer to the leg based vehicles possibility and then i will say ok. If you keep giving me wheleed system vehicles idea then please dont answer more here. Vehicle with legs dont need a adjust the axis like the character and mobs dont need it.

    For the moment i use magnificer with my character it becomes higher than a vehicle and still can move it. So lets see mmmmm I cant make a cat a bit smaller than magnificer player? mmmmm Let me think mmmmmm. Lol poor excuses. Also there are vertical vehicles they can create called exosystems. Like you said there are options bipeds why not bipeds vehicles? some variety is that dangerous for you? And dont be noob there are biped beasts too. And there is the best example dinosaurs. I am sure some pet master would love have one mechanic dinosaur as ground vehicle.

    I am not ignoring all explanations you are who said bipedals vehicles are able. So maybe you should think then ground vehicles are able. Maybe not dinosaurs or maybe not cars, but like you said bipedals vehicles are able just find one. And talking about dreaming i just give ideas is better that than just say not possible not possible. My ideas arent for you check them if devs of co thinks they arent possible they arent a kids they know what to do. Also i added more than just the stupid ground vehicles thing. Stop thinking only in vehicles game give more things.

    For the terrestrial vehicle. Not sure if it is a bad example but given the beast stance running style. Wouldn't it be possible to have something similar for the 4 legged vehicle proposed?
    I could forsee problems with scaling but nothing is perfect.

    In general, I would rather more content than features atm.

    Greetings to all here. The creator of this publication is intended only to give programmers Champions Online a great ideas to improve the game . I believe that it is. These ideas could recover those players who at some point were disappointed in the past for whatever reason .

    Let me make clear that I love this game and also have viable ideas that can help them improve the game.

    With much respect , you as programmers or legal representatives of Champions Online , should respond to this topic with a "Thanks for your advice , we will be doing our best ." Not to be debating whether or not we do this or that. It's so easy to put the batteries and get to work to improve the game itself , so these ideas will be said earlier in this topic or you have already . I know you can do the best for this game, it's only a matter of time.

    Hi all, (MEL is the best, keep it up) put foundry please, big mistake vehicles which have 8 slots should be mark 2, in my opinion, we want a real improvement in the game, not finally they did, the only thing I see with the theme of mark 1 / mark2 is taking money out of the players, please repair the drop rate players with drop play fun.http://co-forum.perfectworld.com/images/smilies/mad.gif

    And threads just like this is why I made that plea thread that got shut down.

    In the end this insane thread is no less delusional then many of the others that all boil down to I WANT I WANT I WANT GIVE ME GIVE ME GIVE ME! Even though any one who has been around CO and or cryptic any length of time knows that it just aint ever going to happen.

    Whatever money CO does bring in sure as hell has never gone back into this game, but instead used on the other actually valued titles of Cryptic.

    So all of you telling this OP to accept what cant be, maybe start more threads asking the players to cease with suggestions when the money to make them happen aint ever going to get invested into this stagnant wasteland

    This guy has some really good ideas to be honest. The game really needs more action, vehicles? ok, new costumes? ok, new rampages? ok...But I really really want a new area with a new instance, it´s been 5 years since Vibora Bay and Therakiel.

    I like those 3.0 vehciles too...could be great if done properly.

    All of those are nice ideas....like the thousnads of awesome ideas that have been posted in this suggestion board for a long time...

    But none of them can be implemented because of a tech issue:

    They dont care

    They dont even advertise the game, and i asume the current dev team has to juggle it between making new lockbox content and events every what? 1.5 months and adding / fixing random stuff to the game.

    But go on, maybe one day something will change and a larger Dev team will look upon all these request and improve the game....or not

    **Making the Characters to big (slider-wise) ruins the costume. This has been addressed by the devs in the past many times. its not discrimination, it is a tech issue, quit being overly sensitive.**

    **No, the Devs have said this time and time again. There is too much work that would have to be done in order to get the game even remotely ready for the Foundry. It is a pipe dream.**

    Flech, it has nothing to do with "not caring".

    It has everything to do with the fact that a lot of the changes (especially the vehicle ones) would require recoding the software from line 10. It simply wasn't designed with vehicles in mind (since everyone gets travel powers just as the Tutorial ends, or before leaving the PH if you skip the Tutorial); some suit decided that we needed vehicles, so we have them The engine, plainly speaking, does not support heroes (or their rides) on the ground sitting at anything but 90 degrees from the horizontal. To leave that orientation, you have to leave the ground. And as you may have noticed, the ground in RenCen is not flat, and the ground in the Desert and Canada makes the hill from Westside to RenCen look like a pimple.

    It's the same answer as why we can't run up walls or stick to vertical surfaces - it wasn't planned during the earliest stages, so the software doesn't support it and it would have to be recoded at this point.

    And do you have any idea how much that many man-hours of software engineering would cost?? Are you volunteering to pay that out of pocket? 'Cause my pockets aren't that deep. And no businessman will make that kind of investment unless the projected RoI is just amazing.

    If horizontal ground vehicles won't work, how about biped walker vehicles or segways? :O

    Possible return of such investment doesn't justify doing it from a monetary perspective.

    And yes, it is a Catch 22.

    That's why CO one day will end in exactly in the same shape and content as it always was, with maybe some small fluff added and bugs fixed.

    Can we look at the Ooze tunneling/scarab tunneling example for a second ? Doesn't the graphic tilt according to terrain ?

    So what would spending several tens of thousands of dollars to re-write the code so we can have vehicles that orient to the ground direction do exactly for the game?

    This is again point of money spent on better things like new content, not worrying about if the vehicles look like they orient to a slope you are driving up.
