How about some themed high tech armors that look a bit like the associated vehicles?
Army: Tank-like with big arm cannons and tread feet. And a huge ridged helmet with slats to see through like the little windows on a tank
Airforce: Jet-like with Variable-geometry wings, they fold down a long the back when not flying. Move up parallel to the shoulders in first and second "gear" then at 30 degree angles in "high gear"
Navy: Battleship-like with a slightly pointed chest piece and little turret guns that would look great with micro munitions firing. And a shoulder mounted radar dish.
Police: Cop car-like with shoulder mounted flashing lights and wheeled feet. And squared off armor parts with "POLICE" and/or "SWAT" in block print.
EMT: Ambulance-like with flashing shoulder lights a kind of blocky build and "AMBULANCE" written in reverse on the front and a caduceus on each bracer.
I want to include Marines but I can't think of a theme that wouldn't look Army like.

In other words, you want costume sets you can use to build Transformers?
Harrier Video

I actually did a lot of research after Arnold Schwarzenegger played a father who rescued his daughter on one. I forget the movie but that Harrier scene stuck in my mind. I know, Arnold would have been the actual pilot, I mean who wouldnt want to fly in one of those if they could. I dont think he ever used a stunt double. But don't quote me on that. For all I know that could have been a very clever stunt double.
Did you know that most of the harriers were retired because they could no longer keep up the cost of the fuel? I mean, sure it's a nice idea to have a jet takeoff and land vertically, but the actual power to use them made them very short ranged if they had to both take off and land vertically. (Unless showing of to the public of course :P) As such they often utilized a combination of vertical and forward takeoff to save fuel. However, most lands were mainly vertical due to the tender undercarriage of the craft. The US is one of few countries who still use them due to their practicality on the air battlefield.
Maybe make them a little transformer like. But mostly I was thinking of just symbolizing the vehicles associated with the profession. Still looking for an idea for the Marines. Also I think it would be pretty important to make it so you could put a country's flag on the chest plate.

Oh no, British shared it with the US then wound up selling the fleet. I guess Americans just love to hover around like Arnie :P
