Global chat server outage?

  It's been going on for the past hour and half now. Random burps in the chat turning off then back on moments later.

  Yeah and the chat is going crazy in all games to so the chat server has really gone nutrs

  I haven't been noticing a full on outage myself. What I am noticing is my friend's list spamming "logged off" then "logged on" immediately after. As well as my "enter chat so and so" messages.

  Earlier today it wasn't so bad, just a bit of lag. This evening has been awful with the outages. While I welcome increased game traffic, it shouldn't come at the cost of communication.

  Friend's list tends not to display anyone offline.
  
  Random loss of PMs and chat.
  
  A few random SNRs and disconnects.

  Well it's not just an isolated incident just affecting me then, it's universal. That's good to know, although it begs the question to Cryptic/PWE: "What's going on? Why is chat having outages?"

  Do you have several level 40s?
  Consolidate the currencies! (Please!)
  Does your Champion have a theme song? (share it!)
  Got a funny in-game screenshot? (share it!)
  Please fix the Overdrive energy unlock! (Should help promote thematic build diversity!)

  Try this: (it worked during the first outage)
  
  On any custom channel you have access too, get into the options and change the motd. It should restore those channels and increase chatter until this gets fixed.
