Rampage Team Combat Stats

From time to time I'll be posting some combat stats in the Rampagers channel for our Fire & Ice and other rampage alert runs. I want to emphasize that the stats are just for fun (and don't necessarily encompass all of an individual's contributions to the team). I think a lot of us, myself included, find the numbers interesting. But it's not intended to make anyone feel bad. Besides, we all look bad next to Caliga!

Here's an example of the encounter summary stats currently available (click to enlarge):

That's the summary, and it can be a drilled down into a lot more detail. All of the data is stored into a database, which can be used for analytics later. I may provide a web interface down the road, if I get time.

Here are examples (with toon names redacted) of the types of summary callouts it's no problem to post into the chat channel, unless we get tired of it anyway:

Team Summary vs Historical Data for that Alert:
This team was the #4 fastest out of 10 recorded in completing this encounter.
This team's total DPS (10047) is ranked #4 out of 10 recorded Gravitar encounters.

Individual Contributions by Type (sorted by the sum of all types):
Dmg/Healing/Tanking by Player: M**** 0%/43%/4%, C**** 16%/4%/22%, Cool Hand 14%/21%/6%, D**** 15%/19%/5%, S**** 14%/0%/24%, M**** 10%/0%/19%, D**** 8%/11%/5%, V**** 15%/0%/1%, L**** 2%/0%/6%, X**** 1%/0%/2%

Biggest Booms:
Best Hits by Player (Top 5): M****/Shadow Strike/17556, C****/Haymaker/12643, S****/Unknown Ability/12623, D****/Ebon Ruin/12421, Cool Hand Luke/Ice Grenades/6379

Is this a program you made yourself or are you utilizing something already out there? I ask because I'd like to be able to use this myself for testing purposes.

The UI I posted a screenshot of is Advanced Combat Tracker. The parser plug-in for CO was created by me, along with the back-end database.

I may release it later on, after I finish some more enhancements I have in mind. I do have some mixed feelings about that though. Mainly, I'm afraid if widely used it might cause a lot more FF build copying, as people would be able to more easily identify the performance of certain builds. I'm kind of undecided right now.

There is a CO combat parser that analyzes the combat log data if you save it. Sooo... if people were gonna analyse performance of FF builds, then I'm sure it's already been done.

That's a bummer but I can't say I blame you for being hesitant. I'm gonna keep my blue ring on in the meantime.

So begins the process of excluding builds/players.

    So sad.

Parses are fun to look at. I parse most of my game sessions and it's interesting to see what the most overused powers are, average dps of players, and so on.

Much appreciated, I will definitely be giving this a look later today.

Not in the slightest. If you're that into crunching numbers and figuring out what is the most optimal, do it yourself. Crunch your own numbers and put in your own time on PTS. This is Mojo's baby and if he wants to keep most of what he discovers to himself, he's entitled to it. This post and refusal to share a certain program has nothing to do with exclusion of others or certain builds. People from time to time are open to sharing the sheer amount of information they've gathered; Be glad for that. Same situation here. Take what you can get from what's shared and make the best of it.

Yes, I'm sure someone at some point will get the idea in their head to do that, because for every MMO there's that guy and a few people like him.

Good luck to that guy to actually get anyone to join his private queue though...

Good luck to that guy to actually get anyone to join his private queue though... as it turns out, the top tier dpsers are much less valuable than the multi-tasking hybrids.

EDIT - ...did this just get double posted.... midway through me typing the post? .-.

On the PTS runs I found myself (squishy melee with an offensive passive) much more involved in the action of F&I than I've ever been for Gravitar, which is pretty much a serial death sentence for me.

Though we did only go 1 for 4 on completions. We'll learn.
