how about a power that use TIME

i was thinking, i would be a great idea if we can use time as power.i got this idea from watching power ranger time force http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1A68q55DUiQ.

    "A time power" uh.... you might want to put a little more description into your idea, because as it stand a time power could be anything from a power that stops time all the way to one that just checks the time.

    Yeah some things are broken... no I don't use/abuse them.. where would be the fun in that?

    The Mechanics that I think TIME Powerframe would fit in, would be

    Debuffs
    Stuns
    CC in General
    Damage over Time

    Summon Circles under the Enemies that Deal DoT and Debuffs while buffing friend (I have seen this attack in a game)

    Pets (Summon Clockwork Mechanical beasts, Winged Hourglasses Mobs)

    and with the Adition of another powerframe (THROWING KNIVES)

    Time Stop
    POWERFRAME REVAMPS, NEW POWERS and BUG FIXES > Recycled Content and Events and even costumes at this point Introvert guy who use CO to make his characters playable and get experimental with Viable FF Theme builds! Running out of Unique FF builds due to the lack of updates and synergies! Playing since 1 February 2011 128 + Characters (21 ATs, 107 FFs) ALTitis for Life!

    But with Crowd Control being the way it is...it would be primarily stuns and debuffs. Even then you'd have limited usefulness unless your stuns were paired with one shotting moves or high DPS moves.

    High DPS Time Move: Age Foe - You temporarily cause the time stream around your foe to quicken in pace, accelerating to a point where they literally age right before your eyes. :tongue:

    Instead of just debuffs and CC... How about buffs?
    • Speed up the "charge" time of powers (quicker to activate)
    • Speed up the "cool down" timer (granted, plenty of Int and gear does this, still is very thematic)
    • Speed up movement rate
    100% of the world is crazy, 95% are in denial.

    Every single time anyone has talked about Time powers, they have always sounded like the biggest candidate for the next cherry-picked FotM set.

    Does a 'Time' powerset mean we can finally get abilities that enable significant hold durations on bosses? Cause that would be pretty awesomesauce.

    or maybe reduce their time and debuff em, just like aftershock boss battle in the lab or death by time just like the video i mention above :cool:

    Well,I was thinking about it.I am working on my idea about new Adventure Pack.I got the same idea,but,then I realized that there is already Impulse Archetype.So?

    I think it's almost same.Controlling gravity or space,is like controlling time.You don't need clocks as your pets or gear wheels as AoE.That sucks.I don't say it's stupid,but you know,developers don't program anything like that.How many times we asked them to make Staff powers,Plant powers,Water powers etc.Is that so difficult?

    This actually made me laugh, that would involve a number of things which CO has made pretty clear it wants NOTHING to do with. Aka Crowd Control.

    And considering that Crowd Control in CO is as bad as it is, I wouldn't bank on seeing "satisfactory" holds on bosses. Like Ever.

    Manipulator Form allows us to breach Super Villain hold barriers with Ego Sleep and Incapacitates.

    I actually asked about Temporal Shift, which is the ability that creature uses, the response was a one way ticket to NOPE-land.

    Reason being that that sort of ability actually reprogrammed how the server understood time itself (seconds wise) which has the potential to either permanently make the server understand seconds that way OR kill it off.

    This as you can imagine made server engineers rage, apparently this ability should not even be in the game.

    Whoever put it there, managed to do it in a way which wouldn't kill off the server. Not too sure if that person(s) is even with us anymore.

    And it is more than likely that if they are, that ability would not be for player use, as open world interaction or activation could break the servers time understanding universally.

    If they were to make time a power set, through extensive debuffs or holds it would likely be under Sorcery or Super Natural.

    Why?

    Sorcerers are known to be able to manipulate the time stream using magic...

    Elemental Projector refers to blasting and ranged attacking via the manipulation of a certain element. (IMO Force is an outlier to this rule)

    But if something else like "Energy" (pure energy) and "Gravity" alongside with the already existing "Force" (but made less lacklustre) were power sets, I could see "Time" being added to "Fundamental Forces" Power Set.
