What about Endurance as a PSS?

The other thread about recovery got me thinking about the other little talked about stat.
Endurance. I want to try something different and never even thought to use end as a primary.

Anybody have a End primary build? And are they happy with it? Trying to get new ideas.
I'm a Str PSS or Int PSS builder mostly.

I do. I am not the world's greatest build maker, but I survive well in PVE. I love Endurance because with the Endurance spec tree, You can have it act as your Recovery and Con. so it is a 3-in-1 stat. I have heard a lot of people say it sucks, but it has always been good to me.
Ramp it up for a large energy pool, decent equilibrium, and a decent HP boost. Great for Darkness and Electricity builds especially for maintain powers.

Again, like Rec, its not bad.. but more niche. Problem is, for builds where I'd want a large energy pool I'd prob rather take Int PSS w/ End as a secondary, as I'd just see it as overall a better deal.

I have some FF toons with END as the PSS. On those toons, I love it. Those toons I made with END as a PSS generally don't have any powers with cool downs so I don't need the INT buff for a recharge boost (although it's a nice thing to have) and having END as a PSS means your energy pool is pretty big so powers with a large energy cost like force cascade can be fired off constantly.

Yeah, I got a few who use it, You just have to synergy well, Typically END prime is good for those that use Maintains and heavy costing powers, like Force or Power Armour, Decent Specs also. :3
Want to get to know me a bit better, Click me and take a read of My Dragon Profile Page, it's a bit dated but still relevant.

I take this quote from a review that I agree with.

"customisation is so linear; everyone is after the optimal dps:survivability ratio with 0 reliance on other players = autonomous gameplay... Players don't need each other anymore... which in my opinion is a bad thing."

I recently swapped my Dark/Primal Petmaster from Int to End primary SS, since I use maintains and don't have Recharge powers (no AO/AD). Since my Petmaster offtanks and I have AoPM, the End spec's +HP was better than the Int spec's +statbonus abilities. End has worked perfectly for my goals.

As with all specs, know what you're going for in your own build. X is not always better than Y, even if X is better for more builds.

I really like END Primary, and I'd definitely suggest it's usage.

So far I use it on three of my builds:

Joule - Single Stat END build Electric DPS, can put out, survive and literally cannot run out of energy.

NRGMuffin.exe - END PSS PA build, can survive well and does good DPS.

Solaris - END PSS, Fire DPS, good survival and great damage.

Readiness and Hardened are my favourite specs due to their usefulness and Readiness eliminating the need for REC on an END PSS build.

I haven't had any negative experiences with it. Best used for builds which deal primarily with maintained assaults or use Thermal Reverberation or Ionic Reverberation.

Nice. Thanks to all who chimed in.
I'm working on a Power Armor build with End as primary.
    So far so good.

    Thanks again

Honestly, I don't think I have ever made a toon that would benefit more from PSS END than another superstat...seems like there is always a better option than END or REC for every toon imaginable.

My power armor toons run EGO with Int/Rec and can run my 3 preferred toggles AND get all the normal offensive boosts that go along with EGO.

The only thing END has for its spec tree is the +15% damage bonus if you stay above 90% energy (Outburst). You might could abuse Dark Transfusion + Readiness (END tree) + Int to stay above the required energy...but even that might be pushing its usefulness.

However, if you try it and like it, by all means, stick with it.
