It's time to take Perfect World's resources and put them to good use.
I would like to see a sidekick system similar to the nemesis system, and similar to Star Trek's team builder. Because they have those sidekicks already in the store, but the ability to create one for free, and then charge zen for the rest will help Champions' profits. Also the ability to customize your hideout with furniture and make it seem more like your hero's place, not some generic throw together (not saying I do not like the hideouts already). And finally the villain faction, because I am more then sure not everyone is a hero. Should have a new city across from Millennium city (there is one) and have a villain starting zone. Also maybe some side things to do and expand on the topic of crafting. Give gold members something worth paying 15 dollars a month for.
Customizable Personal Sidekicks and Hideout:Yes!
Especially they could make the Customizable Sidekicks devices like the Venicles (with MODS and such)
Even more awesome if the Sidekicks would be linked with the NEMESIS system
Villain Faction: Never Gonna Happen!
POWERFRAME REVAMPS, NEW POWERS and BUG FIXES > Recycled Content and Events and even costumes at this point Introvert guy who use CO to make his characters playable and get experimental with Viable FF Theme builds! Running out of Unique FF builds due to the lack of updates and synergies! Playing since 1 February 2011 128 + Characters (21 ATs, 107 FFs) ALTitis for Life!
isn't that why we got sidekick devices in the first place? They (much like the vehicles) were supposed to be a full customizable system, but in the end the devs said "PFFFT... forget that noise, my soaps are on!" and we only got a few devices instead?
I personally would love having a sidekick system, even if i have characters that wouldn't use them, it would still be fun. A small request though would be to let us use action figures we've unlocked as skins, as well as maybe a few pet skins like the munition bots. Either way though, i really like this idea.
Same for the other two systems. To be honest, this game was all about customization, and frankly for the last few years maybe there has been very little added to the game. Being able to customize your nemesis like an actual player character, or having more control over hideout customization would be spectacular. As a small request for hideouts though, could we set them as Super group bases? Obviously the dev team will never add in official group bases, but it would be nice to designate that our super groups could use the bases, even if we weren't online. Maybe even throw in a few themes that reflect the super group as well, like banners, or a hall of armor type thing. It really bothers me that the "other" superhero mmo" has a way more customizable option for bases, than the superhero mmo that was SUPPOSED to be all about customizations.
Why would Windsor, Ontario suddenly become a hotbed of villainy, anyway?
"Science teaches us to expect -- demand -- more than just eerie mysteries. What use is a puzzle that can't be solved? Patience is fine, but I'm not going to stop asking the universe to make sense!"
See, problem with adding any faction is that it would require a tremendous amount of development and resources which may, or may not, return this level of investment.
CoX villain side wasn't terribly succesful, profit-wise.
DCUO has villain faction, but it was made with two factions in mind from the very beginning.
Adding a completely new faction to MMO that doesn't had it before is a huge risk.
Not like CO could expect this level of investment anyway.
Also, CO has a rather light-hearted stylisation and attitude. I doubt if villain faction would fit in this game. Unless made in a very goofy fashion - and that's certainly not something you ask for.

Exactly! CO has a certain charm to it which adding a villain faction would destroy.
It's depressing that seemingly everything these days now are going all dark and amoral just because that's what kids think is cool. Great generation...
Champions Online is the golden era of classic Good VS Bad, Heroes triumphing over villainy, and I love it. Please don't change that.
Now, the custom sidekick idea, I love! We totally need that. I agree, it could be like the nemesis creation system that already exists.

More realistic (in terms of character development and psychology, let's not bring realism into superpowers) =/= grimdark and amoral.
But anyway, it would require a completely new game to have it done properly.
I'm still hoping that one day such game will emerge.
It would be only the best for CO, in a way.
People wanting different kind of story/gameplay could move on to that game leaving CO for more light-hearted content. End of complains, end of returning suggestions that simply can't be made in CO, everyone on both sides of this fence would be happy.
