SG headquarters (hideouts)

when hideouts were first introduced, there was more than a little discussion about SG headquarters--but I haven't heard a whole lot lately.

I did have a couple random thoughts recently though--

An underwater base could be essentially the moon hideout with minor tweaking.

And Accessing the SG hideout--this is a strange problem. My first thought was to have it as an alternative entrance to Champ HQ (as in they're renting out the second floor or basement) but this wouldn't necessarily be the best access point for an orbiting space station/sky carrier/mothership or underwater dome or really anywhere other than a city based hq. Other thoughts I've had are to have access via until terminals or the superjets, or even with purchaseable warp to sghq devices.

or theres also simply the possibility of using the hideout select button to choose the sg hq, like when we go to the bank.....

any input people?

They can make lot's of stuff, the problem is if it's worthy of time and resources.
I think they've abandoned whole Hideout stuff when the main man was Beamed Up to the space.
It's not like the personal Hideouts have gotten any updates.

It's not a resources issue, it's a resources delegation issue.

They just give all the financial resources to NWO and STO instead of here. Which is stupid from a business decision because Champions has the potential to make a hell of a lot more money than Star Trek or Neverwinter, just need to tap into all the Superhero stuff already on-going in Hollywood.

if the devs and/or corporate ever feel the need to return to Hideouts or SG HQ's they'll hopefully let us know

as it stands right now, all development in that direction seems to have stopped.

so my question would be this? Are there any plans by the devs/corporate to look add on to the existing structure?
Maybe one day we'll get a state of the Game or an Until report.

The current functionality of Hideouts is acting as an extra storage.
There's really nothing do there. Oh, it has Crime Computer there...the one we carry with us every where.
-The Nemesis console should be there.
    -Trophy Room should be there.
To display Perks as the items/costume pieces/stuff.
    To show our current/past Nemeses.
-Power House/Training Room should be there.
As a boxing bag. Weight lifting bench. Shooting Range. And such.
    -Garage to Vehicles.
    Teleport Room.
    -A teleporter.
    -Yo Momma and her car.
    -Private jet.
    -Magical mirror.

I bet they had bigger plans for the Hideouts allready, but Poop Happend.
So, now it's another feature done halfasserly.

All of the hideouts have had two secret rooms that have not been completed for almost a year now. Based on the fact that cryptic wont take the time to finish what is already there do you really think they will waste time on SG bases?

Forget the fact SG bases have been asked for since launch, there was only one person who worked to get hideouts as far as they were and he moved on to greener pastures long ago.

I think the bigger issue for them is integration of hideouts (which in a sense represent 'down time') and gameplay. No matter how much we like them, they serve little gameplay function outside of being personal social instances.

I wish they could work the nemesis system into the hideouts, maybe have the villain attack every once and a while. :)
