I see Foxbat on the maps ....

When looking at the maps of the city, under the Super jet and on top of a building nearby (I think it's a hospital) on the maps only, a drawing that looks like Foxbat's face is visible. Anyone know why they are there?

    It was part of a April's Fools Day event few years back, they just never bothered removing it.

    I searched for "Foxbat", and saw this mentioned one other time in 2013. "Need" is subjective, but reading this thread is the first time I've heard about it.

    Doesn't mean it hasn't been brought up atleast 5 times before.
    But anyway. To the point.
    The Foxbat's April Fool's Day Event is only event that's not repeated after the 1st one.
    I'd like to see it repeated. Since i missed it at 1st time....

    There should be at least twice as many of these threads as there are "Un" threads.

    There are still a lot of threads about this. There's a search function for a reason but rarely used.

    Anyways, the event was so corrupted it would crash the servers and the special instance tied to it (very much like Finkle Foundry but acquiring a Foxbat IOU) they removed that part and then eventually the whole thing.

    You know, this would make an awesome Event for the Event Rotation.
    Just fix the glitches, rest of the work is done. You could even release a FoxBat Jet vehicle and FoxBat Box also.

    I say leave it there. I have come to see it as one of Foxbat's running gags. He servered our maps. Though I am not opposed to actually bringing the event back.

    You don't have a clue what the event was do you? You had to find all the Foxbat imposters scattered throughout the city plus the "real" Foxbat to get the April Fool Foxbat AF. There was no special instance though there were some really cool temporary devices.

    The Foxbat IOU is given out by defeating a Foxbat in City Center. And can still be obtained to this very day if you know where to look, in fact I just did it 5 mins ago. :rolleyes:

    It was 100 Foxbat fakes. 50 in Westside and 50 throughout City Center. The "fake" Foxbat was not part of the mission daily which you got from the rep standing in the Rencen circle. A lot of people who did the mission and got all 100 didn't get the AF drop and a lot of others that got the IOU mission item reported that entering the mission would immediately crash them and even instances. A patch went up not an hour after it went live and removed the special mission. This fixed the issue with the 100 fauxbats but not for everyone who already did the mission. They had to start over. However, they took it down pretty soon after so it only lasted two days if that.

    It seems that YOU didn't have a clue as to what the event was from the beginning, didn't you?

    LOL. My little April Fools Foxbat AF friend kinda says I do. Beginning? It only lasted a couple of days before it was yanked.

    I never said it wasn't bugged, it was. If you'd bother to do a search, you'd see that people were asking about the very same Foxbat that sits in that alley today handing out Foxbat IOUs long before the April Fools event.
