I have been playing Champions Online on and off since the game when free to play way back in 2011, IIRC, and after playing the game for free I had decided to wait for the next time they had a LTS sale and hope I had the $199 at the time and purchase it ..... Since that time another Cryptic game (STO) has had a LTS sale roughly every 3 months, and Champions has had exactly ZERO LTS sales .......
Well for me this is the end, I am tired of waiting for a LTS and will not longer support this game with my monthly purchase of Zen... Now this does not mean I will stop playing the game, I will still be a gold member but that is because I have purchased 60 day game cards at a really good price and have enough for the next 2 years, so this will not affect my enjoyment of the game ....
But as of now and until we get a sale that the other Cryptic game titles seems to get at a regular basis I will no longer spend any of my hard earned $$$ .... I'm not asking for much I would just like to see Champions treated like the other Cryptic titles and have a sale that may increase the palyer base like they are doing with the other games.....
I will support an LTS sale in Champions, just like I did in STO....... But also know that by not having my monthly ZEN purchase I also stop spending in STO ....
All this being said I am just asking that you treat Champions like STO and NWO and have an LTS sale every once in a while ....
I have just came back to Champions about 3 months ago an there have been 2 LTS sales for STO, but still not one LTS sale to try and expand the player base for Champions ...... Expand our player base, have a LTS Sale!
I would jump at a chance to buy an LTS for $199 now that the vet rewards are all included. (STO can seem to sell it at this price point, why not Champs?)
For $300? - - I'll just keep playing for free, thank you.
In all fairness the STO LTS is very overpriced even at sale prices compared to the CO LTS.
CO's gives you not only 8 (16 if you were never gold) character slots it gives you a new slot on hitting 40. Both now give you all vet rewards instantly. Permanent access to FFs is a bigger bonus than a couple of vet ships.
Going gold for a month gets you most of STO's features forever.
This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Not trying to be negative or anything, but is buying an LTS to a game for which you've already paid in advance for the next two years a particularly good idea ?

And in all fairness, STO has a Foundry, Super Group bases (Fleet Starbases) and regular LARGE content updates - just look at what Legacy of Romulus added to the game - let alone the recently released Season 8, and yet is cheaper LTS-wise than it's older cousin.

Foundry, Fleets bases, and content were all available to silvers as far as I know.

So where are they in Champions? Folks here are paying the same sub fees as those playing STO and yet are getting less?
The object is to make a game more appealing to pay for (LTS, subs, C-store stuff), not less. The addition of all vet rewards at start for LTS was a step in the right direction....but not for $100 MORE than another game by the same company which has MORE content and continues to grow in large, regular updates.

Apparently they arent. Or to put it another way, not as many of them are. You see, the reason STO has gotten all of the development it has is because it is making a lot more money than Champs. In fact, STO is PWE's top grossing game in North America. If Champs were making that much money, then it would be getting more development.

I have 2 years worth of 60 day cards ... which I can sell at anytime, or used as I see fit ...
so like I said I will just keep playing without adding any more of my money to the game since we can't even get one sale......
