Hello all,

The stability fix that we made yesterday helped, but it didn't completely resolve the disconnect issues. We've identified what action is needed, and we've tested the fix on PTS and our QA servers.

At 3pm PST, in about 50 minutes, we're going to have maintenance on Live, which should fix the disconnect problems. This maintenance should last 30-90 minutes, and we'll let you know when it's finished. Thanks for your support, folks, we appreciate it.

Will it fix the issue that I can't get into my launcher now? It keeps trying to update but once it does it goes back to the auto update launcher and tries again, fails to connect, and will continue the process. Just wondering... I really don't want to re-install over probably at this point 4 gigabytes worth of data.

I blame the PFF regen bug! Seriously, though, can't wait to play without DC's! Keep at it guys!

It is so nice having a dev team again. These fixes are really snappy.

First post I ever make and gonna start of by saying thanks for making me believe that the Dev`s are not a fiction of my own imagination or an urban legend. And I hope I can get back to playing ASAP because I have tons of toons to Retcon :). So from the bottom of my geeky heart, spank you for making CO a good game. Cheers :)

The bitterness is strong with this one.

Though seriously, thank you for the work you're putting into addressing the issues. I know it's not easy coming from an IT background myself.

We're starting the whiteglove testing on the server. I'll update when we get closer to the end -- although I'll be in a meeting, so I'll ask LordGar to post here.

...Ah, I see the problem, he is malware. Better boot up that anitmalware executable and clear him out before he ruins your computer somehow!... That really tempts me to make a character now known as "Anti Virus" and it's something with the virus helmet on but wearing heroic outfit.

if its on steam just verify the files and it usually fixes it for me. if that doesnt work then it isnt your end thats the issue cause ive noticed when it happens and i leave it for a while it suddenly works after a few hours. I blame the CO leprechauns.

And this is one of the reasons why IMO, yesterday should have been a rollback followed by a well-tested patch instead of a hurried quick-fix.

Nope. Continuous play here. Maybe check your Internet connection? ISP issues can cause trouble...

Yeah... Got the patch this morning at around 6, it worked fine for about a hour or so... now I've have been getting nothing but SNR and D/C's almost as frequent if not just as much as yesterday and basically for like two weeks now. Do whatever you guys did for Bloodmoon, I had no issues then, because whatever you did now, I have them, and I have had them for 2 weeks, this is annoying.

No DCs here, but the game seems to be running in stop-motion, even in instances (where I shouldn't experience any slowdown related to the number of players there). It's really annoying because I'm trying to level Sharknado through the Queen City arc, where it's sometimes necessary to get a particular angle for attacks, and Toybox through the Westside arc, where it's easy to inadvertently overshoot your target group and wind up aggroing too many Escaped Prisoners or Maniacs because you didn't know it was time to stop yet.

I spoke with LordGar about this, and it sounds like this is probably an ISP issue.

Well I was wondering if it wasn't just Champions has a issue running with Windows 8, but then I know another person that uses Windows 8 (Backwards aka BloodBath) and they don't have issues from what I understand, so could very well be isp or something. I know my internet has been on the fritz for the past month give or take too, but, I wasn't having any real issues during blood moon, even when there was a zone full of people attacking takofanes and I was right there in the mess of things... Yeah things ran like you were hitting the pause button a lot but never once seen the dreaded red words, got d/c'd, or anything. So it seems something happened inbetween those times... When all else fails, blame it on your tech guy.

    Hi,

I have been having issues as well since yesterday afternoon. I will be running a mission then I get a server disconnect. When I attempt to log in again I get an error The account server connection could not be started.

I usually have to wait a few minutes after the disconnect to get it to let me back online. during this time I have checked and have no other internet issues. I have also completed a force verify to ensure my files are intact.

    Thanks

I've been getting the stop motion effect too, only for the last couple of days.

usually all I get is the server disconnect when trying to change zones and join alerts at the same time

Good to know its not just me. I was attributing it to either lag on my end or a network glitch due to the power outage I had yesterday.
