New Powers?

Has there been any word on new powers coming out for this game. Its been some time since the last new power release. As an ex-CoH player I am aching for some water powers. With air, fire, ice and earth powers, of which I have characters of each, I really want to create a water themed elemental character. With all the great sealife themed costume parts its a shame we don't have a water control or water blast type of build form. The water blast set was my favorite in CoH. I'd love to play with it in this game.

I'd be pretty happy with a purely sonic set as well. There are many other powers I'd like in this game but these are my top 2 wishes for now. Of course I'm pretty sure I'd be happy with anything new. That was my favorite part of CoH in its last year was all the new powers and costume pieces. It really brought out my alt-itis.

I do love the extra character slot you get with every level 40. Gives me a great reason to get those alts to 40 so I can create a new character.

    Yes, new powers have been discussed. Some are in the early stages of development. More details will likely follow later on but I'm not at liberty to discuss any of it in detail.

    Long story short, the answer is yes.

    Edit: the last new powers release was in July and/or August. Laser Sword Powers, Telepathy powers and some additions in Fire and Force as well IIRC.

    If it helps, I've seen a lot of characters use various Force powers for sound-themed characters, even if they don't actually deliver Sonic-type damage.

    I was kind of hopping for powers that could show coming from the mouth. Not too many that do that. I can only think of howl.

    If you're Freeform you can choose a power emanation point. One of which is head. For now that's kind of the closest thing to sonic scream powers as of today.

    Yeah but there are so few powers that you can choose power emanation from. I have a eye-blast themed character and ran into that problem in past. For instance, crushing wave would be a good one for sonic but you can't choose head location on it.

    i don't know how difficult it is to create a new archetype, but it will be nice to have a water archetype.
    power examples can be rain, water splash, waves,drowning, water bubble and a defense form could be liquid state. what do u think ab8 tht:smile:

    I wish, Freeform slots don't come with tinting or emanation point selection. Only gold accounts get them.

    I'd love it if they'd start selling Color Tinting & Power Emanation Tokens in the Z-Store (or even the Q-store): Color Tinting or Power Emanation Selection until you leave the Powerhouse or for 15 minutes if you aren't in the Powerhouse. They'd sell like hot-cakes.
