I see you can get permanent water balloons and disco balls in the new lockbox. How about a Permanent Noise Visualizer? I like the noise visualizer, just not the 5 min time limit. The Noise Visualizer makes my game experience seem more comic bookish. Please take my money!!!!
While the Noise Visualizer is a great amount of fun to use for a while. I actually wouldn't want to see this thing become a permanent device. It's a great toy to have fun with, but I for one would grow quite tired of it if it became over used.
I will however suggest increasing the time of this particular device to 15mins. 5mins goes by pretty darn quick.
This device is not really more annoying than assaulting other people with water baloons, even when they are actually occupied with something else, or forcing dance animation with disco ball.
Noise visualiser at least works only on your character, doesn't force anything on other players.
And it has comic book feel. Save for its noise, this is how visual FX for our powers should be done from the very beginning.
The permanent version of the Noise Visualiser should be a passive device, that takes effect when you slot it, and stays in effect until you unslot it. I know this can be done, because there's already a handful of devices that work that way. And retrofitting it to work like that would be probably be little more work than converting the non-permanent version to a permanent one.

I don't know what people mean when they say noise visualizers only work on the player that used it... I've seen the effects without using it. bug perhaps.
It means that it adds FX only to powers of players who are using it. It doesn't force animations on other players or iterrupts them. Unlike other anniversary devices. It also doesn't change their power effects.
Of course that everyone can see your FX made with this device. It works like any other power FX. But it's not really more annoying than few other already existing power effects, like FPS butchering TK Maelstorm or Earth powers.

With my MA speedster toon the visual effects are awesome, I don't think I could ever get sick of it and if I do I'll just unslot the device.

Those who don't like it aren't forced to use it.
