ARC and lack of security

I have just reinstalled Nevermind in order to get around the login bug. This meant that I had to use ARC.

What an account security nightmare that is.
It has auto login, not just to the game but your billing section.

Anyone who gets on your computer can get straight into your account wiht no login or password required.

anyone know how to stop it doing auto login?

    Supposedly it is entirely possible to fully delete all ARC files and use the main .exe file to launch the game.

    Supposedly.
    I'm unhappy and I can't say why.

    it's ok. My bad. It was auto logged in from the download.

    after you log out/sign out. you have to use your password again to get back in.


    that had me worried.
    got rid of the message key by sticking it on num lock, I never use that

    If you need to download games thru it, do it. Then uninstal it.
    You're safe and secured.
    Or keep the doors and windows locked in your house to prevent strangers wandering in.

    Heck, just download the game through Steam. That's what I did. Haven't had any problems yet and I can purchase zen through them rather than negotiate PW's crappy interface OR deal with Arc.

    ARC gone- reason in form.
    completely unecessary. I can already do those things in game

    And you can patch and play all 3 Cryptic games thru 1 Launcher. There's 'Show All Games' option.
    Don't know if that works for PW games too. Never touched those.

    I only play the 2, STO has my record for fasted uninstall

    10 minutes. I couldn't even stand the tutorial

    been playing since beta myself....
