Ive tried to be nice to you about this subject in the past but this time I am not JKN here Smoo that was a fail troll attempt ( I'll give you tips about how to do better later :P ).

Ive been doing Bash and zombeh apoc all weekend with a unoptimized build i've been flinging implosion engines all over the place \o/

And guess what 2 things I noticed smartass:

1: I didn't get steamrolled ( Though Moni was after my blood she be scary >_>" )

2: You don't do PvP , did not see you once all weekend and I've been doing marathon sessions ( ask Brou ,Taco , Lucy , Moni , Mano, Mal and Xeno etc etc ) and when I wasn't on my brother Ginger was. Guess what he didn't see you either. Ask any PvPer on this weekend they did not see you as well. Actually I turn up on bash rather often I HAVE NEVER SEEN YOU!

Smoo heres a special message just for you.

Its just hyperboyle that you have to have a FoTM build to have fun in PvP.

BTW my toon Trouble is an Invul, IDF , Eye FREAKING Beams! , implosion engine build. I'm so pr0 br0.

You don't know what your talking about. Is the PvE content so boring you have to try to ruin the fun of others?

In reference to PvP, without Devices, Elite gear and mods, I say Disadvantaged... Unless you remove all your powers then Duel someone then yes, I guess. x3 Haha.

The only thing I can remember is some guy called Tricky poking me up the arse with a lance all night long. Backing up BroSis here no Smoochan was seen that day.

Considering the number of times in the past I've mentioned that I have multiple accounts, this just make me giggle. It's funny.. you seem more aggravated lately, and you've been pvping more... coincidence?

I've seen you... in fact, I've poked you quite a few times.

Also, you grossly misinterpreted my initial post... in the strangest of ways. If you actually knew the truth of what actually happens in game when I pvp, you would probably feel both silly and relieved for all the anger you've been displaying towards me recently. I assure you, I'm a complete and utter hypocrite when it comes to me saying that I would never use a theme build in pvp... which is exactly why I know what a sorry state anyone using such a build would be in.

Also, I get this is hard for people to understand sometimes, because forum, but I like pvp, I like pvpers, it's my favorite part of the game and if you think about it the underlying theme of everything I've ever said about pvp is "PvP in this game should be more fun, bad design decisions are keeping it from being as fun as it should be". You have to be buried pretty deeply in a "pvpers vs pveers" mentality to not see that; don't worry, I get why someone would be though.

And no, I won't be telling you my other accounts just to prove you wrong, because I'm quite happy leaving the forums in the forums. See you in bash

Hint: You'll never see a Smoochan in anything, because @smoochan doesn't have a character over lvl 9

I intended to remark that there's nothing wrong with the expectation of bringing an optimized build to PVP to maximize your chances of winning since it's a highly competitive environment, but wow, to address to following...

Saying that someone is "crap at life" just because they aren't good at PVP'ing in this particular game?

I kinda feel the same way.

I could probably pull off a 0:50 win:lose ratio fairly easily. I suck at twitch gaming. That's why I stay out of PVP; I know I won't do well, and won't enjoy it.

Does that make me "crap at life"? I certainly hope not, though I wouldn't argue if you said I was "crap at PVP."

First off no ,,no I'm not , I've just been been a bit soft the last few months. If I see BS I've always been rather nasty. You've known me long enough I dont tip toe round things. Never have never will.

Secondly that 50 deaths in BASH is pure BS. If a player gets ten points in BASH its a win and a player gets points by doing damage to another not killing, the points get given after the player falls. So multiple points can be given through one players death . BASH rarely has over 5 players in it. Do you see it? 50 deaths in BASH is imposable. If someone has to make up random figures to make an argument then it is a life failure, no two ways about it.

If I see a picture of this epic fail I will apologize without thinking until then its hyperbole. I'm not saying life failure down to PvP. I'm saying that down to RANDOM NUMBER STATEMENT THATS IMPOSABLE TO ACHIEVE!
It was blatant BS to scare people away from PvP ques. But if you want to fall for it your choice.

Least I back up my PvP statements with pics and vids.

But in the interest of fairness heres some homework for those that want to prove me wrong. Get ganked 50 times in BASH then post the pics. Grouping with friends doesn't count.

I'm nasty yes. Nasty but fair.

LOL did you even look at the pic all the people I thought where optimized PvPers I was taken out 9 times but scored 6 points with an impulse.

Smoo the point of your original post as been countered. Theme and non optimized toons and even AT's can do alright in BASH if the said player knows how to play that toon.

A lot of peeps rage because they cant get top of the board ._.

I'd love to see what would happen if I put my builds into the hands of "skilled" pvpers... I wonder if it would be kind of like the time I used a bunch of frankenbuilds, but in reverse. See, when I did that, suddenly I was going 10-0 in bash, despite lots of people coming after me.... did I just suddenly get more skilled, and that skill went away when I went back to using theme builds? :O

Yeah yeah I know, all I would get is excuses if I issued that challenge :P

I'm curious though... what did you think the point of my original post was? Cause I don't think it means what you think it means.

No, but I do believe more viable alternatives should be made available. I started shortly after launch and I've watched the list diminish over time, even more so in the last year. Surely, you don't think it's cool that the majority of pvpers in this game are sticking with a handful of powers to be viable?

Why do you always try to turn comments against yourself? He's saying the system sucks, not that you suck. Stop trying so hard to make it about you dummy, and just admit that you wish you had the freedom to be creative just like everyone else secretly does. After all, if you enjoyed the "limited options" style of gameplay, you would be playing a class-based mmo, not one that touts customization as its primary feature.

First off, Smoochan is right. I was saying the system sucks. I wasn't trolling anyone in general who pvps, even those who go the route I pointed out. Also, the "Frankenstein" comment was a jab at the devs for not giving us viable alternatives, which has left us with a small list of powers that are outlandish when combined. Malware, you were right about one thing, I was trolling Cryptic, to a degree.

All I'm saying is pvp is a small box right now, and the devs are telling us, "Don't think outside of the box". I'm not expecting everything to be perfectly balanced, but at least make the friggin' box bigger.

its a video game who cares, make what you want to make and have fun, look at 28th... by all means he should be one of the worst characters in the game with his move-set (cause he revolves around one of the worst moves in the game, and places everything on a 1 % chance per shot). theres no right nor wrong way to play a video game, even if that means taking a disc and using it for a Frisbee.

It'd be foolish to think any mmo will ever be balanced to the point where some powers are obviously better, and worth a first pick in pvp. This has been the case in every mmo ever made.

That's about my 2 cents on that.
