Advice on Telepathy Rotation

So, I'm still relatively new to the game and am really enjoying the new telepathy set. However, I'm unfortunately spoiled by the "do it this way" guides available in you-know-which MMOs, and though I don't need my hand held, I would appreciate some input on how these powers work. My character is only in his 20s so I know my cooldowns will decrease and that will change things, but I just want to see if I'm going in the right direction.

So for anything that won't pass-out after two stacks of Ego Sprites I generally go:
Mental Leech > Shadow of a Doubt > Mental Storm > Ego Sprites (x2) and then I will repeat, placing an Ego Sprites refresh before Mental Storm the second/third time around to compensate for the longer cooldown (I'll typically re-apply Mindful Reinforcement or tap Mind Break a couple of times if any excess time/energy is there).

Does that sound about right? Essentially, keep your dots going as they come off cooldown, throw in fillers where necessary?

The big problem I'm having is what to do with Mind Break. I would really have loved that ability to be a maintain that simply scaled up in damage with however many debuff stacks you placed on the target, instead of wiping them for one big nuke. That would have made it a great filler/energy dump...as would the barrage of curving mind bullets look very much cool. I would also really love to be rich and able to lose weight by eating donuts.

So as it is, does anyone think its better to lob a full charge of Mind Break to detonate one stack of each Debuff after they are applied? Or is it better to build up your Debuff stacks and then detonate at like 10% health (or after 10 stacks), treating it sort-of like an execute. In other words:

Option 1: Mental Leech > Shadow of a Doubt > Mental Storm > Detonate with Mind Break
Option 2: Mental Leech > Shadow of a Doubt > Mental Storm > Rince and Reapeat until target is at 10% health or Debuffs are at 10 stacks > Detonate with Mind Break
Option 3: (insert better reasoning here)

Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

    I'd certainly start out with mental storm because of the long cool down, then the other two new powers and finally ego sprites x2. Mind break is mostly just for bosses when you have a lot of stacks of each debuff. Also you want Ego sleep with the plagued by nightmare advantage. None of the telepathy DoTs wake up mobs affected by the skill, as a bonus, you lower their attack and speed once they wake up with disorientation and fear. For rotation on bosses I'd do;

Mental storm, mental leech, shadow of a doubt, ego sprites x2, mental leech, shadow of a doubt, ego sprites x2, mental storm, mental leech, shadow of a doubt, ego sprites x2, mental leech, shadow of a doubt, ego sprites x2, mental storm, mental leech, shadow of a doubt, ego sprites x2, mental leech, shadow of a doubt, ego sprites x2, mental storm, mental leech, shadow of a doubt, ego sprites x2, then mind break.

You can only stack 4 of each debuff on a mob yourself.

AH-HA! I didn't know about the 4 stacks. I had read 10 somewhere but I'm assuming that is to accommodate other telepaths on one target. That completely solves my Mind Break issues. There was a reason I put Mental Storm third in my rotation, but I don't remember what it was and your rotation intuitively makes more sense. Thanks for the input!

    I am using Dark/Telepathy

This is different of course. I dislike Congress of selves because for the life of me I can't figure out a synergy that works or how it's beneficial. So I took Shadow Form.

I open with Ebon Ruin with the supernatural debuf. My E-builder is Dark so I sread the fear.

My Rotation then is Mental Storm - Shadow of Doubt -Mental Leach and then Ego Sprites. I just keep em stacking.

I see no benefit to Mind Break when I have Ebon Ruin, which causes Trauma like Congress. So the DoT's just keep going on and they are all clicks. I also throw in Hex of Suffering. Scarnes for good measure. Life Drain for a self heal. So far so good. But that's my telepathy rotation.

Mind Break....I just don't get period.

    No.

The Tooltips for all of the New Telepathy Powers are currently 1 year out of date, as a result they are incorrect. Entirely. Do not trust them.

May seem a little dramatic but I'll link you to what they SHOULD be.

The DoTs stack to a max of 4 on any one target. This cannot be increased or stacked upon by multiple Telepaths. This rule applies to Mental Weakness, Malaise, Regret, Stress and Dependency aka all the new debuffs.

Mental Storm's Holding power is not affected by Shadow of Doubt or Mental Leech's damage.

As a result it would be more beneficial to start off with Mental Storm then lay out Mental Leech and SoD's until they are dead.

Stacking Mental Storm on Mental Storm will assist your target in breaking out of the hold. I would say only re apply it when you can see that it is about to end its holding duration.

The game play for New Telepathy is to stack and then detonate. To benefit from Mind Break be a reasonable distance from your foe, around 15ft I reckon or closer, when firing Mind Break with the three main debuffs active on the target for a lovely burst heal, damage to target and energy return. (All based on the amount of debuffs present on the target.)

If you would like any advice on New Telepathy, do not hesitate to contact me, I've been one of the few who have actually used these powers in all iterations and waited a year for them, so I've had very extensive use of the powers. And it helps that Telepathy is my area of interest.

I'll be in game next week Tuesday, I am @Ravenforce

EDIT: Some of the powers are still bugged and do not work properly (with regard New Telepathy) such as Congress of Selves and some of the DoTs.
