Arguably the PnP RPG industry's most respected award, Champions Complete is up for four ENnies, while Champions Villains Volume 3 is up for one.

This is quite cool news. I keep wanting to play/GM a Champions game, and this kinda makes me want to do it even more.

Kinda wish I had people locally to do a nice PnP game with. Champions is something I'd like to try.

Its not quite the same as sitting around the table but programs like ventrillo and an online whiteboard can make it possible to get involved in PnP gaming even if you have no local options.

I'm a Marvel (soon to be "Cortex Plus") Heroic Roleplaying goblin with no group, up until I decided to make my one.

Have friends that enjoy super heroes?

Buy the Champions PnP book, read it. Plan a session. Call them up. Teach them how to play. And there you have it!

    1. make sure everyone has a calculator.
    2. any abilities with stop signs, don't let them use.
    3. be prepared for some weird characters.

group(note these were all written up complety seperately)

baby chinese dragon, in human form
reincarnate of HUGE chinese dragon, able to assume dragon form
human who's kidnapped girlfriend is a dragon,

Person from Shadowrun universe- rule 1: never deal with a dragon.

upon finding ou that mine was a baby dragon, put head in hands and said, to rest of the party . "hands up the dragon" since his head was in his hands, he didn't see 2 hands go up.
Then wondered why everyone was laughing.

Felicity my first on this game and my first champions character but can't actually do on CO.

started with 6 dice of luck and enviro mayhem
    350 xp later

did not need to breath, eat, sleep
    liferspan 1600 years

I play Champions at GenCon almost every year and actually mock up my CO characters in the pnp world. For a system that seems so crunchy, it combat and task resolution flows very well.

For character design, let me recommend Hero Designer. It does all the math for you. Character creation in Champions, while incredibly flexible, is every bit as complicated as it looks.

BTW, I got my votes in.
