Known Issue - Pidgin, Channel Names

Right now, there's an issue with Pidgin that prevents people from joining channels with a space in there name. Usually you could type [Word1]+[Word2], but that option doesn't work right now.

We're working on a fix right now. In-game chat channels work just fine.

    On a related topic, I could never connect to channels with apostrophes (') in their name, through pidgin.
    Would it be possible to ask around, to see what the correct way of doing it is (assuming it's even possible)?

    Also, is it currently possible to connect to our SG chat channels through pidgin?

    At one point, about 6 months ago, I was able to use "live!groupname" , using an SG called "groupname" as an example. But then it stopped working, as far as I know (I just checked the other day). Maybe I've got the syntax wrong, or maybe it was only ever meant as a test feature. Thanks!

    Literally took me 2 seconds to figure out. the code has been (for some reason) changed from "+" to \20 and apostrophes now register as \27

    replace all + signs with \20 and your chat will connect properly to the channel in question.

    Some Examples:

    Previously I used "Champions+RP" to join the CORP IC channel. Now I need to use "Champions\20RP"

    Another example is the SG Altered Ego's to join it I have to type in "live!Altered\20Ego\27s"

    Yes it is. I reccommend using the Find Rooms feature to prevent accidental syntax errors.

    This is absolutely perfect!
    I can now happily chat away in space-enabled channels, AND apostrophes now work.

    Not a problem, all I did was literally click Find Rooms and I looked at the format of the my SG channels.

    Hmm, I wasn't able to get the /20 thing working earlier today... maybe I was just being a derp?

    It is \20 not /20.

    Its very important its typed \20 not /20 its backwards slash, the key above the enter key.

    I have not tested this personally, but I expect \2f should do the trick. :)

    I tried it now, with custom channels it still doesn't work when they have a + in it.

    For example: (Word1)+(Word2)

    It doesn't work with channels.crypticspace.com, not sure about guilds.crypticspace.com for the SG chats
