Build for the new Telepathy Powers?

So, I made a new toon to try out the new powers.

Are these things even working? I know the toon is only 15, but I've seriously got to wonder.

I've listed the build I'm going for below, right now I have ego sprites R3, and Congress of Selves R3 should be giving me a 117% boost to Ego DoT powers, but the sprites tooltip says 72, and the floating numbers show 72 when I'm fighting something. Since the Wiki lists the base damage of R3 at 66, so I'm at a loss.
If I unslot the passive and take off my nemesis BoAs, I'm at 43. If I put my gear back on, I'm at 57, and slotting the passive brings me to 72, which is certainly not a 117% increase. Are damage modifiers applied to DoTs in some seriously arcane fashion?

On another note, Shadow of Doubt. I was going to raise that to rank 2, but as far as I could tell in the PH, there was no change in anything when raising it from R1 to R2 (or R3).

So, what the heck is going on?

That said, assuming everything was working properly, what do peeps think of the following build? I'm not sure what I should take for my level 32 power, and I've got 5 Adv points I can toss around too.

I would probably take a heal like Empathic Healing to add to the bubble for alerts. I'm curious about the numbers as well because I seriously wanted to create a character very much like your build.

Do Ego Sprites even trigger Concentration since they are a close area attack? Would the Manipulator form be a better choice or are you going for DPS?

I usually use the WiKi to help me create my builds but these powers are so new that they aren't listed so I'm not even sure how they would effectively work together.

    Good luck.

Ego sprites do stack concentration. As for the build, I would highly suggest taking dexterity as your primary instead of Ego, the dot's damage gets stronger from crit severity and chance meaning that not only will you crit more often, but you will have higher damage without crits. Ranking up Shadow of a doubt and mental leech decreases their recharge time. I would suggest taking out the Congress of selves and replace it with Shadow Form, Seraphim, or ego form and take ego sleep as well. None of the dots interrupt sleep, making it great for soloing, meanwhile mobs that can't be slept will normally live long enough to make mental break a pretty nasty spike. Also if you can fit them in, I'd highly suggest two active offenses, this will give you a massive boost of damage. Take Molecular self assembly and talents that increases your primary stat plus endurance, energetic, and energized. You will need a ton of intellect and endurance to get Master of the Mind running.

Yup, just gotta do it from far enough away.

I was debating dex vs ego for my primary.

I think you're right, with a higher crit chance those powers will do more damage.
Ranking up Shadow of a doubt and mental leech decreases their recharge time.
Which makes ranking them up fairly useless considering the built in CD reduction from the passive, plus int, plus level 40 gear.

And yes, I'm keeping the passive specifically because it's a new power. I'm trying to make things suck as little as possible while trying new things. This is my 43rd toon. :p They can't all be truly optimal. ;)
and take ego sleep as well. None of the dots interrupt sleep, making it great for soloing, meanwhile mobs that can't be slept will normally live long enough to make mental break a pretty nasty spike.
Ah, right, that is a good plan. I haven't done much with sleeps or anything previously, so that adds into trying new things nicely. It's something I have as a throwaway power on my first telepathy toon.

A slightly revised plan for the powers. I will gear for at least 70 ego and some extra end when at 40.

I like the changes you made and may give it a try, but first I think I will go more the support route. I just finished leveling a Radiant AT to 40, so I know hard leveling :).

Here's what I may try, though the order may change a bit as it's hard to plan without sitting on the PST fiddling with it all day, though I did try a variation on the following build and it may suit my play style. I also may change the Mastery to Sentinel when I get to 40 depending on my dex and severity when I get there as there are a lot of these powers can trigger Sentinel Mastery.

I plan to play it in the Support role. I use Nemesis Heirloom gear for all three primaries once I reach level 15 for the XP boosts and the super stats growing with your levels. I plan to gear for Ego, Rec, and END and some + health as I go and switch to Silver Champion Gear upon reaching 40.

Once I saw the cost of Master of the Mind, I decided to skip that one :). I wanted to stay totally in the Telepathy tree, though I did have to venture out for the block and the active offense.

Here is my support interpretation, what do you think?

    Level 9: Accurate
    Level 12: Lasting Impression
    Level 15: Daredevil
    Level 18: Wordly
    Level 21: Amazing Stamina

    Powers:
    Level 1: Psi Lash
Level 1: Mind Break (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 6: Congress of Selves (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 8: Ego Sprites (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 11: Ego Sleep
    Level 14: Telepathic Reverberation
Level 17: Ebon Void (Voracious Darkness)
Level 20: Mental Leech (Rank 2, Rank 3)

    Overseer: Impact (2/2)
    Overseer: Trapped (3/3)
    Overseer: Conservation (2/2)
Mastery: Dexterity Mastery (1/1) or Sentinel Mastery

    Thanks

Does telepathic reverberation actually work with the new powers?

Similarly, since you have int as a SS, is it necessary to get the extra CD reduction from rank 3 vs rank 2 on the new abilities?
I find that with rank 2, I'm able to build stacks of the debuffs.

I'll have to look for that one. I have only noticed that Ego Sprites are triggering Telepathic Reverberation. Of course I'm only around level 18. I have the character in the Powerhouse now on Live testing the weird damage output of some of the powers.

As for the CD reduction gear, I'll have to see how it goes. I'm still messing around with the order of some of the powers.
