So, you rely on one power entirely for your PvE? Really?

The current state of Throwing Blades is intended to be temporary. They intend to restore its tap function if they can figure out how to fix the bug that was affecting the power. This is not intended to be permanent.

Meanwhile, my Night Avenger never even found the TB bug. I tend to rely on my bouncy, bouncy boomerang instead - I can hit half the targets on the field by aiming at one of them, and usually either take down the lesser mooks or at least seriously damage them. Then, when I only have the boss to face, I stay out of range until my stealth kicks in again, then walk up next to him and Shadow Strike him into oblivion.

well the fact is...ik how to play with night avanger but without AoE is hard...and don't say me starfing run is an AoE because that is limited to his way... with TB i can shot more mobs at the same time in diferite position and if that is without tap ..they attack me and kill me easy...

Thats weird, I've got to 40 with no trouble and NO throwing blades.

Ricochet shot works perfectly well,(and with micromunitions adv, gets over 6 people) gas pellets work great for anything running towards you after the boomerang.

Why would I waste time on Throwing Blades

Because relying on a broken power didn't require anything else?

Before I even knew about the ridiculous bug, I thought TB was useless. Yes, even before the half-charge thing. Why? Ricochet Throw is an amorphous AoE attack that has much higher DPS than Throwing Blades, hits the same number of targets in any shape, and automatically does double-damage from stealth. It's an obscenely powerful blast attack that outclasses most other single-target ranged attacks, and quite a few multi-target ones as well due to its flexibility.

This is compounded with an AT that can already one-shot most bosses instantly in single-player PvE, and has a click AoE that pumps out about 16k damage on targets when critting.

    Quit your bitchin.

Not aware of the Throwing Blades issue but my character is a Night Avenger. I actually prefer Ricochet Throw in all situations. At level 31, I can tap it for ~800-1,200 (crit dependent) per shot, so I use it as my ST sustained DPS skill. From stealth it makes for a great AOE fully charged, one-shotting most groups within 2 levels of me outside of alerts, though it is somewhat herd-dependent. I've never gotten comparable damage output from Throwing Blades so I don't use it. The largest drawbacks to the class in my opinion is the melee energy builder, sort of rough to run out of energy and have to truck it back to melee range- but when I reach 40 and get the end game gear and high level modifications I'm assuming I can put a build together that alleviates that issue. The other big thing for me is an apparent redundancy in skills- two melee attacks that I don't use at all, a lunge I haven't used since I picked up Ricochet Throw and Grapple Gun, which is only useful for pulling bosses to build energy. Doing forum research, I'd love to see the class retooled with optional active defensive or offensive powers within the technology or MA frameworks that it draws from, or even a self heal rather than the redundant melee skills, although I've found that the rush of battle combined with some healing devices (albeit with long cooldowns) is a decent stand in for innate mitigation.

It is? I thought that was another item on the ever-growing list of things they said they can't figure out? I guess it'll be non-permanent in that CO will eventually shut down...
