Hey, it's me again. Decided to go here since nobody seem to look that much at the Builds and Roles thread.

I'm planning a Bestial Supernatural + Heavy Weapons concept build. So far this is what i've come up with...

PowerHouse (Link to this build)

Name: Bestial+Barbarian

Archetype: Freeform

Super Stats:
Level 6: Strength (Primary)
Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

Talents:
Level 1: The Master
Level 6: Acrobat
Level 9: Martial Focus
Level 12: Physical Conditioning
Level 15: Relentless
Level 18: Impresario
Level 21: Quick Recovery

Powers:
Level 1: Bestial Fury (Rip and Tear)
Level 1: Shred (Penetrating Strikes, Crippling Challenge)
Level 6: Unleashed Rage (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 8: Unstoppable (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Decimate (Nailed to the Ground)
Level 14: Aspect of the Bestial (Giant Growth)
Level 17: Aggressor (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Brimstone (Aftershock)
Level 23: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 26: Masterful Dodge
Level 29: Massacre (Rank 2, Blood Mess, Accelerated Metabolism)
Level 32: Miniaturization Drive (Reciprocating Gizmo)
Level 35: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Resurgent Reiki)
Level 38: Molecular Self-Assembly

Travel Powers:
Level 6: Athletics
Level 35:

Specializations:
Strength: Physical Peak (3/3)
Strength: Aggression (2/2)
Strength: Brutality (2/2)
Strength: Juggernaut (3/3)
Warden: Slaughter (3/3)
Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
Warden: Tenacious (2/2)
Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
Vindicator: Modified Gear (2/2)
Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
Mastery: Strength Mastery (1/1)

The dps this build does is alright. I can reach 9K crit hit with my massacre and 15K+ with my Unleashed Rage. The only problem is its survivability. I noticed that I become a bit squishy when mobbed, even when i have Conviction, BCR and Dodge heroic gear.

I'm asking help on how to make this build a bit sturdier. I was thinking of replacing my passive "Unstoppable" with either Regeneration or Invulnerability. I just want a sturdy build with a dps that can reach 10K+ and can last a minute in PvP.

Also, I don't want to use AoPM. Too many players are using it. Don't want to be another AoPM abuser...

Off the top of my head, some things you could consider:

    - 3-piece set of Armadillo Secondary Gear
    - Energy Shield w/ Laser Knight advantage
    - Evasive Maneuvers (and maybe switch your passive to Way of the Warrior or Quarry to stack Dodge)
    - switch Aspect of the Bestial to Enrage w/ Endorphin Rush
    - Resurgence

It looks like you have at least 40% crit rate and around 100% severity. If that's the case, Rank 3 Massacre would yield better damage than Blood Mess.

-I plan on getting the Vigilante gear instead of the 11,000 q set gears. Is the Armadillo set better than the Vigilante gear?
-Energy Shield w/ Laser Knight doesn't go with my concept
-Evasive Maneuvers, tried it but I don't seem to be able to use it quite often. Even when I go stealthed, I still get targeted by enemies.
-Is Enrage really that better than AotB? If I switched, my bleeds won't seem to matter anymore.
    - I have conviction, MD, BCR. Resurgence has a longer cd than conviction.

I have 30+% Crit chance and 96% Crit Severity. I tried the rank 3 Massacre and it seemed that Bloody Mess has more damage.

The Armadillo secondaries give 36 stat points per piece at level 40, compared to Vigilante's 44. Armadillo also lacks the extra effects from the Vigilante pieces. However, a 3-piece Armadillo set offers 25% damage resistance, which is noticeable on a toon with low resist. If you're concerned about your survivability, Armadillo secondaries would make a reasonable difference.

I generally prefer Enrage to AoTB in Shred-Massacre builds. In a prolonged fight, Massacre is your main DPS attack, with only periodic Shredding to refresh the Penetrating Strikes debuff. Your AoE attack, Brimstone, would also proc Enrage. Bleeds would still be useful as additional DPS, especially since Massacre refreshes the Bleed stack. If you're stacking a lot of CON, Endorphin Rush is a useful heal-over-time.

Kaizerin knows a lot about Massacre damage (like in this recent thread). My understanding is that the bonus damage of Blood Mess is a flat bonus that does not scale with your critical severity when you critically hit. I'm not sure what you mean by "30+% Crit chance", but I would hazard to guess that with your current crit rate/severity, Rank 3 provides roughly equal DPS compared to Blood Mess. Blood Mess would hit harder on regular attacks; Rank 3 would hit harder on crits.

A couple more suggestions to squeeze out a little extra survivability:
    - Warden Mastery would give you stacks of Grit when you complete a Shred combo. It's not a large bonus, but it's something.
    - You could shoehorn in Devour Essence with the Phlebotomist advantage, since your target is already bleeding.

I retconned my build based on the info you gave me. Here's the new build:
    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name: Bestial+Barbarian

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Level 9: Martial Focus
    Level 12: Physical Conditioning
    Level 15: Relentless
    Level 18: Impresario
    Level 21: Quick Recovery

    Powers:
    Level 1: Wield Earth
Level 1: Shred (Penetrating Strikes, Crippling Challenge)
Level 6: Unleashed Rage (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 8: Invulnerability (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Decimate (Nailed to the Ground)
Level 14: Enrage (Endorphin Rush, Giant Growth)
    Level 17: Aggressor (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 20: Brimstone (Aftershock)
    Level 23: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 26: Masterful Dodge
    Level 29: Massacre (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 32: Miniaturization Drive (Reciprocating Gizmo)
Level 35: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Resurgent Reiki)
    Level 38: Molecular Self-Assembly

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6: Athletics
    Level 35:

    Specializations:

    Warden: Tenacious (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Modified Gear (2/2)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
    Mastery: Strength Mastery (1/1)

It is true that R3 Massacre deals more crit dmg compared to Bloody Mess. However, since my role changed due to my passive, I just need to get some gear to increase my crit chance.

I replaced my Unstoppable with Invulnerability. It made my char really brick-like, although he can still die with high-dmg attacks and has lower dps. Still, I can solo Vikorin and beat Mega D Overseer in Resistance with him. :P

I also replaced my energy builder with Wield Earth because it is both Ranged and Melee. It is slow, yes. But are there anymore energy builders that is both ranged and melee?

No. Other than Earth, all energy builders are either just ranged or melee+taunt.

Tch, figures. Hope that there will be another in the future.

Well, that's hoping for too much but I can dream.

I've got another question. When I was tinkering with my build to make it more dps, someone told me that RE was better than Massacre because of its Rupture.

So, i tried that since my Shred does bleed targets often. I'm happy with the dmg RE makes, it deals 7k+7k crit damage. However, I can't really spam the power like Massacre since I need to stack bleeds and it costs more energy than Massacre. Even with MSA.

Also, I dueled a Savage AT last night and lost. See? A ff lost to an AT. I suck. But that guy was really good. Even with my crit using RE, he used Resurgence and Devour Essence to keep his health up. I was thinking if that adds more survivability, why not switch my BCR with Resurgence and my Miniaturization Drive with Devour Essence? I mean, my BCR doesn't do much healing w/o my Masterful Dodge active anyway, Mini-Drive only does dmg reduction and reduce movement speed.

Is it alright if I replace Massacre w/ RE(Repear's Embrace), BCR with Resurgence and Miniaturization Drive with Devour Essence(w/ adv)?

There's thing called "Powerhouse Character Planner" stickied in Builds and Powers thread. You can use that to make a simulation of your build.

Oh, also, it is kinda rude that you posted your build here in my thread. You should have made your own so people won't be bothered by two builds. :|
