edited July 2013 in Super News Network
We're going to be playtesting the first mission of the FATAL ERR0R story arc tomorrow, 7/10, on PTS. Gold players can jump in and help us polish up the mission!

The playtest will start at 4:15 PM PDT on Wednesday, 7/10, and will run until 5 PM. TrailTurtle will be livestreaming, and for every thirty people who show up in the livestream and for every thirty people who give feedback, he'll send out an Iris Irregular action figure to a random participant. (Post the feedback in the thread for that PTS update, I'll link it when LordGar creates it.)

Want to get ready for the playtest? Subscribers can copy over a character to PTS.

Wtf? I remember when we were guaranteed rewards for bug testing this stuff. One person? Really? What's with the artificial rarety on this action figure?

I'll log in to play test when y'all actually offer rewards to everyone who participates again.

Pretty much this(which I've also said all along) ontop of a 45 minute playtest which is certain to not accomplish much due to it's timing and duration. Sorry, I likely won't make this one simply because it's too early for me.

I guess the consolation on this one is that I'm not lucky enough to have actually had a chance at the artificially rare prize anyways so showing up or not showing up gets me the same results...yeah, that's kinda sad. :frown:

I'll be there, Duquesne Light willing and the creek don't rise... again... today.
Choose your enemies carefully, because they will define you / Make them interesting, because in some ways they will mind you
They're not there in the beginning, but when your story ends / Gonna last with you longer than your friends

Can you give more details? It's possible I missed you. Which playtest was it, which AF, what's your @handle?

I might just do that. Most likely it'll be my usual TK with a splash of TP, but I might do a full TP, if I have time to set it up.

As far as I can tell there was never any guarantee as I did not get one, after posting multiple times in multiple threads my username and action figure preference.

I gave up play testing after beta, and figured I'd give it a shot for an action figure. Don't think will do that again:tongue:

    EDIT: Found it.

Trailturtle, I will confess my undying man-crush on you while you stream.

Well. That came out more weird than I wanted it.

Don't forget to bring ATs, too! If time allows I'll be testing with my Soldier and my Specialist, maybe my Invincible as well.

On the Facebook post, there is what purports to be a link to the livestream. In point of fact, it links to a stream of the Nevergonnaplayagain tutorial.

    Really, guys?

Edit: And shortly after I posted this, the link went to where it was supposed to. Probably a glitch at Twitch's end.

I soloed the mission with a Level 40 Soldier armed with Heroic gear and a level 40 Invincible, similarly geared, with the help of a Freeform archer-sorcery support hybrid.

    The Good:
This looks really really cool! The visuals are different than anything else you'll see in CO!
    It's permanent? Really? Yesssssss!
Decent length and decent challenge. If you're caught off guard or get too careless, you can get killed.
Costume piece rewards seem to drop frequently. On my first run I got the Socrates Process helmet, and on the second one I got the Virus helmet (which can be seen on the Malicious Process enemy types) Of course, these MIGHT be placeholders and the drop rates are subject to change, but they really should just keep the drop rates as they are now.
    Good voice acting!
Defender, Ironclad and Sapphire have funny chatting quirks when you chat with them. Good 'ol CO humor is back.

    The Bad:
Music is recycled. Would have appreciated a bit of a techno-trance vibe rather than the usual instance crawling theme.
The boss is a little bit on the easy side.
    Enemies are knock immune???

All in all... wow. This is a major improvement over other recent efforts!

I want to say it was the Lemurian Harbinger event. it was where we logged in and gave feedback and we got to ask for a specific AF. I asked for the Tumorboy one. Handle @GOD_OF_WAR_ARES

The stream, as short-ish as it was, was fun to watch. Great to see we're getting (from what I gather) some actual, permanent content too ^^

Did it start auto-playing the Neverwinter demo record tutorial, or was it just the title that you saw? My boss had recorded that video a while back, and that was the title of the stream until I changed it. Maybe that's all it was?

    My Review

    The Bad:
*My mission never updated itself, so it always said meet with Dr. Silverback.

*Bad guys' death animation is blah, wish the digitized or something.

*seemed a little easy, but that could have been my character.

    The Good:
*Holy crap, the environment is AMAZING! I event want it more as a Hideout than when I originally stated such.

*Dr.Silverback and Socrates had great voices.

*Was able to move through it even though my mission text never updated it.

Overall I greatly enjoyed the mission, wish there was more, but when combined witht he other stuff I am sure it will be fine. Fun for what it was.

    Good work.

Ok. Just ran it with a lvl 19 DP toon w/good offense/defense and overall it was quite good. keikomyst said most of my thoughts about it-including the voice acting (damn good doc silver back ). It was funny without being campy and I thought the finial boss was tough enough due to the other factors (avoiding spoilers) you have to cope dealing with it.

Still a lot better than the last outing and hopes this is an indication of future things.

At first it started autoplaying the Neverwinter demo - this would have been about 4:18 or so, as I recall (I wanted to check in at 4:15 exactly, the time specified for the run, but I have kids, so...). I came here, complained, then checked in again a little after 4:20, and this time I got a Cheezits ad and then your livestream. (Sadly, again due to kids, I had to check out of the stream about the time you were doubling back to the second I/O port, but what I saw was certainly enticing, both gameplay and background - I particularly liked the cyberspace trees, with bits for leaves.)
