Flag Flight?

This year - as last year - Flag Speed!

Could we see Flag Flight next year? :eek:

Could any of you Art/Computer geniuses post up an approximation of what that might look like? :smile:

    Flag speed isn't popular.


    We are missing hundreds of players over last year.
    If the same thing happens next year with a similar drop off in player numbers
    year over year there will only be two zones of MC for July 4 2014.

    I should be able to do some mockups, like this one:

    I was foolin' around in Photoshop a while ago and made this for kicks. I had been using Mach Speed on an American-themed hero and wondered how something like this would look.

    One day in June of last year, there were a bunch of people talking to Splosions about things they'd like to see in the game. I showed him this, and apparently he liked it and it was the right time for something like it, so he asked me if he could put it in the game.

    If I'd known there was a chance of it actually going in the game, I would have mocked this up with SuperJump. :biggrin:

    Whether it's popular or not, I don't know. I see lots of people use it around 4th of July, and then sporadically throughout the rest of the year. I get asked about it a lot (since I use it on a few characters), mainly people wondering how to get it.

    It is the only travel power that's available for, what, five days out of the year? Of course it ain't popular, most people don't have it!

    You're my biggest fan, right, Nextnametaken? :P

    I've been asking for flag flight since last year. I mean seriously getting a sidekick and a travel power I already have is kind of pointless.

    If hundreds of less people show up for this event year over year, then less people have the travel power, less people have a reason to use the travel power, a tiniest amount of people overall that see the game will ever see the travel power, of that percentage of a percentage even less will be impressed enough to come back and get it on July 4th weekend.

    The other MMOs that spammed my email gave away fireworks, oh and look, there they are right there in Steam Top 100, thousands of players while this one is numerically worse off a year later after it last visited that list.
