Release notes for 7/3:

"A Bullet Bound for Biselle": As part of the never-ending battle to keep Biselle safe from assassination, UNTIL agents have identified and fixed an issue that was keeping the mission from progressing.

Before the Malvans left Earth, the Tailor was able to trade them for a shipment of alien leather. Female Scalloped shoulder pads now can have their material set to Leather.

What would make this truly epic is if the two original unlocks drops as tradeable costume pieces, showing actual progress of separating the weapon unlocks from the old gear.

    Striker Blaster
    Redeye Laser Pistol

Two of the arguably best munitions unlocks in the game.

    I love Open Missions so much. It hurt my delicate little heart so badly that I couldn't even play A Bullet Bound for Biselle. ; A;

The open mission is completable once, per new zone instance spawning/per server restart. After that, when the thing restarts, stuff sort of falls to pieces.

I assumed the issue had to do with the Radiation Rumble alert. After all, when you complete it the Mayor says "Guess I'll have to postpone my speech."

I figured the long wait came from all the groups running the alert. :)

Reign of Frogs and Rictus next?

I really hope/wish the developer(s) at Champions Online actually start to PLAY their game the way we do so they can readily see these huge bugs and design errors for themselves.

I find it hard to believe that if they did play the game it would be in such a state of disarray

Reign of frogs can be completed no problem.
The only issue with it is that you need to save 10 dudes but only 8 spawn.
If you just wait for them to respawn then there is no problem.

But I would love to be able to play Undead on Arrival. It's been bugged for so long it's ridiculous.

Yeah why aren't the new lockboxes in the release notes?
They are dropping as of today, yes?

Fatal Error, the devs must love me and know my heart's desires.
Or maybe they read the forums and just get jazzed for good ideas.

    This is for them

Also its funny the new content is "Fatal Error" and the system is buggier than a bait store.

Aside from the regular side order of post update lag, we have another issue.

Login ID, I flagged this as an issue on PTS and it has carried itself over to LIVE, ID's are reverting so we have to manually type them, instead of it remembering our login ID..

    please fix :3

Yeah... I've noticed that too and was about to post... the remembered ID is the old Cryptic name, like already happened before...

Could you guys take a quick look at it, please?

While I'm glad the Biselle open mission is fixed, I can't bring myself to congratulate you all on taking two years to fix the thing.

Oh, and you added a leather effect to one costume piece.

Is this all I get for $15 a month (assuming I don't shell out for the many other necessities on the store...)?

Sorry to say, you guys have a long way to go before I'll be impressed by anything here. In fact, you have a long way to go before I'll even TRUST anything you say or do.

Hopefully, you're turning things around there (baby steps). That's great, just don't expect me to hold my breath.
Once, I was simply called Mojo. Now, I'm forced into a new name, but don't be fooled, I'm the original STO Mojo!

So SOCRATES has been Mechanon all along???
Sending our heroes to do his bidding. Calculating his actions towards FATAL ERR0R. And all comes to an end in an artificial, computer created world.
    Well played.

Thanks for fixes. At least something is fixed.

As for the rest - as usual, I refuse to power this lockbox idiocy, so this whole Fatal Error will end just ignored by me. As will any lockbox based so-called "content".

Good reason why I'm no longer subscribed. If you want to grab money only via lockboxes, then you don't need and don't deserve to have subscribers.

Wait... Just because there's an associated lockbox, you won't play the content?

You realize that the lockboxes are completely optional, and in no way integral to the enjoyment of the event, right? You can play all the content without ever buying a single key or opening a single box.

The content isn't based off the lockboxes; the lockboxes are based off the content to create a themed upsell. Just like buying a ticket to watch Iron Man 3 doesn't obligate you to run off to whatever fast food joint is doing an Iron Man promotion and buy their food, doing the Forum Malvanum doesn't obligate you to open Forum Malvanum boxes, nor does Fatal Err0r obligate you to open SOCRATES Data Caches.

You have simply low expectations. All latest so-called "content" is made for advertising lockboxes. Like Malvan one and chariots.

And it's hardly serious content anyway, since except final alerts (and those are temporary) its only few quick quests made with recycled assets.

Really, I'm hardly losing ANYTHING by not playing it. I know the formula - up to 3 very quick and very simple quest, then proceed to alert. Said alert may, or may not be fun to play, YMMV.

There will be hardly any story, any new zone (uless you are considering temporary alret maps), anything realy new.

One new boss, maybe, but it will be used only for event, so... *shrug*

Ignoring this new Cryptic formula really doesn't make any difference for player.

The costume set in the screenshots looks awesome.

Let's hope that after a while, once the box opening dies out, a version of it is put up on the Z-store!

once the box opening dies out

This happens when planets aling every 500 millennia, a portal opens, great evil is unleashed to ride across the universum and swing his sword which is called Goetterdaemmerung, sword that brings twilight of gods and all life ends. And they lived happily ever after.

    Well played.

It'd be nice if it were finally Mechanon, though not in another blasted alert. Still, it could also be Signal Ghost, but probably not since I doubt they'd require an alert style scenario to deal with.

Maybe it will be like the Harbinger event?

A level-gated onslaught vs. Mechanon would be awesome.
