Strange Launcher Issue

I have been trying to start up the launcher multiple times but it still does not work and gives me the exact same error message as before. And from checking on the forums I don't seem to be the only one who' launcher is suddenly not working suddenly? Does anyone know if the system had crashed or did something big happen that we aren't being informed of at the moment.

    I am using steam and I have validated my files...yet one file failed to validate? Anyone know something about one file that could be the reason for it running/not running?

    I don't know, but the launcher has been a little... odd over the course of the week.
