If you could put ANY specific (balanced) power into the game, what would you put in? The quirkier, the better.
By "power" I don't mean a full powerset like Gadgeteering or Ice, but one specific power, like Pulse Beam Rifle or Frost Breath.
Throw in as many as you like, no "one per person" thing here. X) I need to know for science!

Energy Blast. Not Fire, or Ice, or Wrist Bolter, or Plasma Beam - just a generic Energy Blast, possibly the most common power in the PnP game. I want to make a tights-wearing hero who blasts energy out of his hands, without needing to take a bunch of Munitions powers too. Kirby Krackle optional, but would make a nice zero-point Advantage, what we used to call a Special Effect back in the day.
Sonic powers. Again, not simply repulsion powers like the Force set, but energy powers that emanate from the face and have effects like stunning or deafening the target.
(Not saying wall sticking, because that, as has been repeatedly pointed out, would require a revamp of how the game treats surfaces, and that's just not happening.)

How about some illusion-misdirection powers? Make your toon appear like an NPC, even removing your normal tag and giving you a generic one.
I would also like to see more short-term travel powers that can take up a power slot and do something else, too, similar to vapor form and ascension. For instance, I would like a power that grants a dodge bonus and acrobatics temporarily, and a power that grants temporary teleport plus damage resistance.
How about a phasing power? You get a huge damage resistance buff, and you get the "no collisions" effect of teleport. It could be an active defense.
Density increase: you cancel your own travel powers and become slow, but gain a big boost to defense, Str, and Con.
Shapeshifting: a suite of powers that are each, essentially, a become device. When activated, your powers are replaced by a different set of powers that match the given form.
Zero-point advantages for Power Armor/Fire All Weapons that would restrict the effects to all-ballistics (double up on the missile launchers and chain guns) or all-beams (a rapid-fire barrage of pulses from the eye, hand, and chest slots simultaneously).
The ability to fire lighting bolts out of my arse. Legit request.
Buttocks emission point for all powers. I apologize in advance for all those clones of The Spleen that would naturally follow.

Manifest Darkness: Ultimate power for Darkness powerset. Acts as an enhanced Shadow form Granting increased buff to defense and Darkness powers for a limited time as well as granting an AOE debuff and high Fear chance to enemies.
Visual effects would work give a slow moving black ethereal flame effect darkening the user while a shadowy cloud effect rolls off of them spreading on the ground. The screen would get a tinted night time effect and the cell shading effect would be replaced on inscreen characters to give the effect that the user is actually causing the surrounding area to become shrouded in darkness.
Cybernetics: A more damage-oriented alternative to power armor. Machine gun in the forearm, dual machine guns for a 'cone' attack. A close-range compact blade in the forearm to skewer foes...
ok, plant powers.
vine whip for long range, for close range, a fist covered with thorns. or a full body thorn eruption for aoe. controls of vine tangles shooting from the ground, sleep from growing flowers on enemies that pop out pollen. debuffs from covering them with mushrooms or growing brambles on them for a dot. buffs from growing patches of flowers around players to act like circles. sigil like flower growths, maybe a fly trap like pet. massive heal that turns the immediate area into a okami-esque flower bloom. maybe even make a buff that grows flowers on the backs of friendly units that provides a constant heal over time. yeah original, i know, dont care. i want a plant character back in a superhero game that is actually fun.
water powers would be nice too, water jets, whirlpools, geysers that shoot out of the ground and do KD.
finally, for dream powers, how about more unarmed styles. we have the launch martial arts skills and the ones that were added later for the "fist" that seemed a little more street fighting oriented. i want a wushu one. open handed strikes more circular kicks, a much smoother flowing energy builder that the original or new unarmed one(the original looks spastic, and the new one looks like you are doing aerobics) if we are doing pie in the sky, how about some capoeria themed moves? and a new flying kick for thunderous lunge, never cared for the sled kick, a flying side kick would be good, since we cant time the animation exactly for the arc, so it has to start in pretty much the animation it uses to end. also, for the super strengths pro-wrestling vibe, a drop kick varient.
A kicking energy builder and a 360 degree maintained kicking AoE, like a spinning bird kick.
Also a slime powerset.

Psionic Barrage - Maintained High Mental/Ego Damage Power. Cone Power. Applies Lockdown, but allows you to turn to maintain the assault on moving targets. [3pt Advantage: Torn Psyche - applies a 25% defense debuff to all affected targets]
Astral Blast - Sending your astral form into an opponent for a chance to insta kill (would have same mechanics as Death Ray i.e. would not work on higher than Enforcer, but for every above enforcer target they would take significant extra damage, or get debuffed resistance against Ego Damage)
Astral Form - By leaving your body in a protective psionic field you can exit your physical body and attack foes with your astral weapons/blasts. You are immune to all damage apart from Dimensional/Magic/Ego. However, after five seconds the shield around your physical form is dropped leaving your body vulnerable to attack. If your body dies your astral form will die too. Toggle Power which drains Energy and HP at a slow rate. Exiting this form will return you to your body at 50% hp and energy, regardless of your bodies previous state. Ranking this power up will gain it more weapons/attacks. (Works in a similar fashion to a become, i.e. Passive - Astral Being (granting Physical and Energy Damage immunity, and very minor heal on hit), Three Astral Weapons for Melee Range and Three Long Range Astral Blast Powers, and a block Astral Defense)
Telepathic Illusions- You attack your foes minds dealing minimal Ego damage but applying a strong Fear and Terror Debuffs which cause your enemies to either be stunned or run away in terror (similar to how civilians run away)
Mind Control - Faction Conversion Power - You can twist your foes minds to work with you for a time, causing them to become your pets. Once they have outlived their usefulness they take heavy Ego Damage and die (applies to weak targets. Mind Control works on everything up to Enforcer Level. On higher level targets it applies a -XX% damage output debuff, instead of control.)
Psionic Wave - A PBAoE attack which allows you to lashout with your mental might against foes, causing a knockdown or stun to opponents affected. Deals Ego Damage. Ranking this power up increases Wave Radius and damage dealt.
Now for some Force Powers :biggrin:
Kinetic Spheres - You send balls of force out which encapsulate your targets and deal crushing damage over time. They are momentarily paralzyed but this effect quickly wears off.
+Deals crushing damage over time to 5 targets max.
+ Adds a 4 second paralyze on casting to all targets
Defensive Bubble - You can utilize your forcefields for offensive or defensive purposes. You can entrap your foes in a force field which reflects a portion of all out going damage back to the attacker. You can also use this bubble to shield your allies and yourself, granting temporary damage reflection and high damage mitigation. (Basically a merge of Containment and Protection Field, so dual fuctionality like Rebuke's heal/dmg mechanic).
+ Places a paralyze on a target and reflects 60% of out going damage back to target
+ If a friendly target, provides high damage mitigation and reflects 50% of all incoming damage back to the attacker (100% of damage). This buff lasts for 20 seconds on a target but can be deactivated prematurely by overwhelming damage.
Force Field - (Mah AoE shielding *-*) - When the going gets tough and your team need protection, you are ready to prove your worth by creating and expanding an impenetrable and large field of defensive energy, repelling all would be attackers and providing the ultimate defense.
+Provides immense damage immunity to all targets within the bubble
+ All targets within field cannot be knocked
+ Your force field is affected by your damage resistance values and can be healed
+ Lasts longer than a normal active defensive
- It is a pet so it can be attacked and destroyed
- Accepts only half added damage resistance from you
- Only recieves 1/3 of the healing it should.
- You can only hold a powerful shield like that for so long (25 seconds) (100 sec recharge)
Force Crush - You focus your force fields and stack them in a tower of solid energy over your opponent and then release them for devastating damage.
+ Deals heavy crushing damage to up to five targets around your main target.
+ Knocks down all affected targets
Kinetic Reverberation - Never has knocking enemies been so rewarding! By focusing on Kinetic Capture, you can draw energy from your enemies in terms of the energy they produce whilst flying through the air.
+ Energy Return scales with EGO or STRENGTH whichever is higher. But is affected by your Intelligence statistic.
+ Each time you attempt to knock an enemy you gain a burst of Potential Energy.
This powerset was inspired my St Patrick's Day Toon: Lady Luck. Lady is a fine looking short haired redhead who gained (freeform) support/might powers, and wears a set of sexy green tights along with a green bowler hat (you can almost see the 4 leaf clover on the hat if you squint). This is what she SHOULD have for powers:
Luck Powerset: Probability means nothing to you when luck is on your side. This power set radically alters the battle for you (or your team if present), greatly increasing your chances of victory. (Similar in concept to a cross between Marvel's Longshot and classic Scarlet Witch, your powers can leach energy, health or even damage and defense away from your enemy while increasing your own. ).
Luck of the Leprechaun(Active multi-role AOE): A Leprechaun is always lucky! (Similar to Aura of Primal Majesty but vastly increases Offense when in offensive mode, Defense while in Defensive mode, or both Defense And Offense (by half the singular value) when in hybrid mode).
Luck O' The Irish (Passive Defense):It takes more than a bit o' resistance to keep me down! (Buffs and debuffs. Defensive mode: Increases your defense, avoidance and damage resistance while decreasing the damage your enemy dishes out . Hybrid mode: does the same as Offense and Defense but at 50% of the singular amount amount).
Rank 1: increases damage increase/decrease values by 10%
Rank 2: increases damage increase/decrease values by 20%
3 pt Advantage: increases defense, avoidance and damage resistance by another 10% while eliminating the enemy damage debuff.
End Of The Rainbow rainbow colored animation: blast attack(ranged AoE buff): Rainbows do more than tell me where my gold is! (Increases you and your team's chances of crits on affected targets while decreasing the damage of your targets).
Double Your Luck: Two times the look, two times the luck! (Summons a doppleganger of you, which cannot be controlled and lasts for 20-45 seconds depending on rank [other balances may need to be instigated to maintain some balance])
Sure Thing (single Target ranged): When an adversary seems a bit too tough, this'll take 'em down a peg or three! (Fire a beam of energy ("luck") that does damage and decreases the target's defense).
Lucky Strike (single target melee): When mind and body are focused and ready luck plays it's part in the perfect strike! (Has 100% crit chance, while also ignoring 75% of target's defenses when user's health and energy are high, decreasing with lowered health and/or endurance percentages).
Pot O' Gold (ranged AoE): You take your own Pot Of Gold from your magic pocket and throw it at the target for massive damage and a bonus! (Deals crushing damage. For each target that is defeated by this attack, a resource bonus is given based on the mob level and difficulty vs your own (with higher enemies yielding higher amounts).
2 pt Advantage: the bonus is changed from resources to questionite
4 Leaf Cleaver (Melee AoE): You swing a large clover through a wide arc, hitting up to 5 enemies at once. Each enemy is dealt crushing damage, and their defense is weakened.
Luck Transference: When things haven't gone your way in battle, this will set things right. (Similar to lifedrain)
Power Siphon: For a quick Pick me up. (Requires at least 1 pt energy to start, The same as Lucky Transference but steals energy from the target instead).
Angry Leprechaun (pet): You summon an angry Leprechaun, who seeks vengeance upon those who would take his gold. (He/she uses "Lucky" powerset attacks).
Base pet is 2 ft tall Leprechaun with an angry look on his/her face
Rank 1 pet is 4 ft tall Leprechaun, looks angrier than base
Rank 2 pet is 5 ft tall steroid-ed out leprechaun , maniacal angry look on face, "Lucky" powerset attack.

Other than that I can say there is -one- thing I'm surprised we don't have, a staple for a lot of vigilantes really, A -staff- set. Think about it, sweeping possibilities, maybe mixing it with some spear like powers for range like a javelin toss or a long stab, make it about reach and keep away/sweeping. Just off of my head stuff like this:
Leg Sweep:You use your superior range to sweep at the legs of your enemies, tripping them (maybe rooting) and doing crushing damage.
Dashing Jab:With a burst of energy you jab forward with your staff, counts as a damaging lunge.
Javelin Toss: You take a risk and take aim, tossing your staff like a spear at an enemy (Possible advantage like kuni to pull the enemy forward.)
Marital Twirl:Maintain, You take stance and start to spin your staff around you, protecting yourself and dealing crushing damage to any enemy close enough.
Areal Stomp:: Taking a risk you charge up the energy to leap into the air and twirl your staff down onto a target/anyone in the area (Possible advantage to have a shock effect or something on the ground as an after effect.)

I dunno really, I'm not too great with coming up with the actual powers but I just think it'd be a nice iconic set really, mix it with a trident/spear style of combat and the staff set could be fun, really simple block and maybe a new form, that kinda stuff.
Powers designed to incorporate weapons that are actually part of your characters body, such as the Gun Hands, or at least allowing them to be chosen as the Emanation Point for Default powers.

Your basic 60ft lunge that uses electric teleport FX UNTIL YOU GET THE ADVANTAGE!
2 pt advantage: Volt Bouncer
Your Electric Lunge is able to bounce between foes. Damage is increased dramatically, but the cooldown is raised. Volt Bouncer allows you to hit five different enemies before you return back to your main target. Don't tell me the engine isn't capable of this, 'cuz the Trickster Rogue's first Daily power in Neverwinter is THIS, just without the zappies.
A Spectral power set like the powers they had on the Halloween Become Ghost thing.
What I'd love to see is a 'Possess' power, where you take over the body of an NPC and pass for them for infiltration or something of the sort, have access to their powers, etc. Since this has the potential to be pants-sh!ttingly OP, it would have to be an Ultimate power, use all of your energy, have a sizeable cooldown, and possibly a chance to fail.
And most absolutely unusable in PvP because that is friggin' cheap.

finally, for dream powers, how about more unarmed styles. we have the launch martial arts skills and the ones that were added later for the "fist" that seemed a little more street fighting oriented. i want a wushu one. open handed strikes more circular kicks, a much smoother flowing energy builder that the original or new unarmed one(the original looks spastic, and the new one looks like you are doing aerobics) if we are doing pie in the sky, how about some capoeria themed moves? and a new flying kick for thunderous lunge, never cared for the sled kick, a flying side kick would be good, since we cant time the animation exactly for the arc, so it has to start in pretty much the animation it uses to end. also, for the super strengths pro-wrestling vibe, a drop kick varient.
Also a slime powerset.

Psionic Barrage - Maintained High Mental/Ego Damage Power. Cone Power. Applies Lockdown, but allows you to turn to maintain the assault on moving targets. [3pt Advantage: Torn Psyche - applies a 25% defense debuff to all affected targets]
Astral Blast - Sending your astral form into an opponent for a chance to insta kill (would have same mechanics as Death Ray i.e. would not work on higher than Enforcer, but for every above enforcer target they would take significant extra damage, or get debuffed resistance against Ego Damage)
Astral Form - By leaving your body in a protective psionic field you can exit your physical body and attack foes with your astral weapons/blasts. You are immune to all damage apart from Dimensional/Magic/Ego. However, after five seconds the shield around your physical form is dropped leaving your body vulnerable to attack. If your body dies your astral form will die too. Toggle Power which drains Energy and HP at a slow rate. Exiting this form will return you to your body at 50% hp and energy, regardless of your bodies previous state. Ranking this power up will gain it more weapons/attacks. (Works in a similar fashion to a become, i.e. Passive - Astral Being (granting Physical and Energy Damage immunity, and very minor heal on hit), Three Astral Weapons for Melee Range and Three Long Range Astral Blast Powers, and a block Astral Defense)
Telepathic Illusions - You attack your foes minds dealing minimal Ego damage but applying a strong Fear and Terror Debuffs which cause your enemies to either be stunned or run away in terror (similar to how civilians run away)
Mind Control - Faction Conversion Power - You can twist your foes minds to work with you for a time, causing them to become your pets. Once they have outlived their usefulness they take heavy Ego Damage and die (applies to weak targets. Mind Control works on everything up to Enforcer Level. On higher level targets it applies a -XX% damage output debuff, instead of control.)
Psionic Wave - A PBAoE attack which allows you to lashout with your mental might against foes, causing a knockdown or stun to opponents affected. Deals Ego Damage. Ranking this power up increases Wave Radius and damage dealt.
Now for some Force Powers :biggrin:
Kinetic Spheres - You send balls of force out which encapsulate your targets and deal crushing damage over time. They are momentarily paralzyed but this effect quickly wears off.
+Deals crushing damage over time to 5 targets max.
+ Adds a 4 second paralyze on casting to all targets
Defensive Bubble - You can utilize your forcefields for offensive or defensive purposes. You can entrap your foes in a force field which reflects a portion of all out going damage back to the attacker. You can also use this bubble to shield your allies and yourself, granting temporary damage reflection and high damage mitigation. (Basically a merge of Containment and Protection Field, so dual fuctionality like Rebuke's heal/dmg mechanic).
+ Places a paralyze on a target and reflects 60% of out going damage back to target
+ If a friendly target, provides high damage mitigation and reflects 50% of all incoming damage back to the attacker (100% of damage). This buff lasts for 20 seconds on a target but can be deactivated prematurely by overwhelming damage.
Force Field - (Mah AoE shielding *-*) - When the going gets tough and your team need protection, you are ready to prove your worth by creating and expanding an impenetrable and large field of defensive energy, repelling all would be attackers and providing the ultimate defense.
+Provides immense damage immunity to all targets within the bubble
+ All targets within field cannot be knocked
+ Your force field is affected by your damage resistance values and can be healed
+ Lasts longer than a normal active defensive
- It is a pet so it can be attacked and destroyed
- Accepts only half added damage resistance from you
- Only recieves 1/3 of the healing it should.
- You can only hold a powerful shield like that for so long (25 seconds) (100 sec recharge)
Force Crush - You focus your force fields and stack them in a tower of solid energy over your opponent and then release them for devastating damage.
+ Deals heavy crushing damage to up to five targets around your main target.
+ Knocks down all affected targets
Kinetic Reverberation - Never has knocking enemies been so rewarding! By focusing on Kinetic Capture, you can draw energy from your enemies in terms of the energy they produce whilst flying through the air.
+ Energy Return scales with EGO or STRENGTH whichever is higher. But is affected by your Intelligence statistic.
+ Each time you attempt to knock an enemy you gain a burst of Potential Energy.

Luck Powerset: Probability means nothing to you when luck is on your side. This power set radically alters the battle for you (or your team if present), greatly increasing your chances of victory. (Similar in concept to a cross between Marvel's Longshot and classic Scarlet Witch, your powers can leach energy, health or even damage and defense away from your enemy while increasing your own. ).
Luck of the Leprechaun(Active multi-role AOE): A Leprechaun is always lucky! (Similar to Aura of Primal Majesty but vastly increases Offense when in offensive mode, Defense while in Defensive mode, or both Defense And Offense (by half the singular value) when in hybrid mode).
Luck O' The Irish (Passive Defense):It takes more than a bit o' resistance to keep me down! (Buffs and debuffs. Defensive mode: Increases your defense, avoidance and damage resistance while decreasing the damage your enemy dishes out . Hybrid mode: does the same as Offense and Defense but at 50% of the singular amount amount).
Rank 1: increases damage increase/decrease values by 10%
Rank 2: increases damage increase/decrease values by 20%
3 pt Advantage: increases defense, avoidance and damage resistance by another 10% while eliminating the enemy damage debuff.
End Of The Rainbow rainbow colored animation: blast attack(ranged AoE buff): Rainbows do more than tell me where my gold is! (Increases you and your team's chances of crits on affected targets while decreasing the damage of your targets).
Double Your Luck: Two times the look, two times the luck! (Summons a doppleganger of you, which cannot be controlled and lasts for 20-45 seconds depending on rank [other balances may need to be instigated to maintain some balance])
Sure Thing (single Target ranged): When an adversary seems a bit too tough, this'll take 'em down a peg or three! (Fire a beam of energy ("luck") that does damage and decreases the target's defense).
Lucky Strike (single target melee): When mind and body are focused and ready luck plays it's part in the perfect strike! (Has 100% crit chance, while also ignoring 75% of target's defenses when user's health and energy are high, decreasing with lowered health and/or endurance percentages).
Pot O' Gold (ranged AoE): You take your own Pot Of Gold from your magic pocket and throw it at the target for massive damage and a bonus! (Deals crushing damage. For each target that is defeated by this attack, a resource bonus is given based on the mob level and difficulty vs your own (with higher enemies yielding higher amounts).
2 pt Advantage: the bonus is changed from resources to questionite
4 Leaf Cleaver (Melee AoE): You swing a large clover through a wide arc, hitting up to 5 enemies at once. Each enemy is dealt crushing damage, and their defense is weakened.
Luck Transference: When things haven't gone your way in battle, this will set things right. (Similar to lifedrain)
Power Siphon: For a quick Pick me up. (Requires at least 1 pt energy to start, The same as Lucky Transference but steals energy from the target instead).
Angry Leprechaun (pet): You summon an angry Leprechaun, who seeks vengeance upon those who would take his gold. (He/she uses "Lucky" powerset attacks).
Base pet is 2 ft tall Leprechaun with an angry look on his/her face
Rank 1 pet is 4 ft tall Leprechaun, looks angrier than base
Rank 2 pet is 5 ft tall steroid-ed out leprechaun , maniacal angry look on face, "Lucky" powerset attack.

Other than that I can say there is -one- thing I'm surprised we don't have, a staple for a lot of vigilantes really, A -staff- set. Think about it, sweeping possibilities, maybe mixing it with some spear like powers for range like a javelin toss or a long stab, make it about reach and keep away/sweeping. Just off of my head stuff like this:
Leg Sweep:You use your superior range to sweep at the legs of your enemies, tripping them (maybe rooting) and doing crushing damage.
Dashing Jab:With a burst of energy you jab forward with your staff, counts as a damaging lunge.
Javelin Toss: You take a risk and take aim, tossing your staff like a spear at an enemy (Possible advantage like kuni to pull the enemy forward.)
Marital Twirl:Maintain, You take stance and start to spin your staff around you, protecting yourself and dealing crushing damage to any enemy close enough.
Areal Stomp:: Taking a risk you charge up the energy to leap into the air and twirl your staff down onto a target/anyone in the area (Possible advantage to have a shock effect or something on the ground as an after effect.)

Your basic 60ft lunge that uses electric teleport FX UNTIL YOU GET THE ADVANTAGE!
2 pt advantage: Volt Bouncer
Your Electric Lunge is able to bounce between foes. Damage is increased dramatically, but the cooldown is raised. Volt Bouncer allows you to hit five different enemies before you return back to your main target. Don't tell me the engine isn't capable of this, 'cuz the Trickster Rogue's first Daily power in Neverwinter is THIS, just without the zappies.
What I'd love to see is a 'Possess' power, where you take over the body of an NPC and pass for them for infiltration or something of the sort, have access to their powers, etc. Since this has the potential to be pants-sh!ttingly OP, it would have to be an Ultimate power, use all of your energy, have a sizeable cooldown, and possibly a chance to fail.
And most absolutely unusable in PvP because that is friggin' cheap.
