Hint: thats probably job hirings for either neverwinter or their next game theyll ignore neverwinter to go create.
also, its cute theyre still riding Coh's coattails when CoH only hit its stride after Cryptic sold it.
Nope, I know for a fact that ad has been open for a while now, for more staff for CO. On a second note if you work for cryptic you're most likely going to have a hand in all 3 games. They don't seem like the type to hire specifically 1 core team for each project. They seem more the type to hire 1 large team and focus resources across the 3 projects, or take the entire teams focus into one projects launch....like NWO. I know of studios that take that approach but, me personally.....I'd rather stick with one project and focus on the full aspect instead of being sprinkled across 3 games at random, or whenever someone needs something done on another title.
It may be the same engine but....I do environmental art....so flipping scenery like that doesn't do anything for me except burn me out, piss me off, and make me lose track of focus of what I should be doing.
I've done it before. I made promotions here and there through the cutscene editor. I exhibited deeper knowledge than what was expected from a normal player. Despite everything, I was shown that the time I put in was worthless.
I realized that the industry is too brutal, and no matter how hard you try to force your foot in the door, there are too many human factors that will make sure you never even get to be an intern.
I've seen people, with or without my interaction, do incredible things to this game without the dev tools on the consumer end, and grant longtime wishes, even if only on clientside.
Programming isn't design. You can have solid code and terrible game play at the same time. This particular game isn't what I'd call terrible in that respect, but it could have been a lot better.

From what I saw linked, that looks like a position for server and engine maintenance. Which, considering the 5000 nights needed to prepare for the load concerning NW's release and all that, isn't surprising.
"Cryptic developed the innovative and successful City of Heroes, as well as its subsequent expansion, City of Villains."
did any one else think it was funny that it lists this game and none of the current Cryptic games? Was Cryptic even working on CoV? I thought they sold it all off to NcSoft pretty early on so they could work on Marvel's MMO then champions?

Not only that, but CoH only hit its stride after CryPtic abandoned BAB, Positron, and half the rest of their devs to NCsoft.

Emmert was pretty much a cancer on the game.
