CO doesn't exist

chaelkchaelk Posts: 7,732 Arc User
I put in a ticket about 2 heirloom items, i put in my hideout bank. Which promptly vanished. due to there being 2 identical ones in there. here is the response. See even the GMs think CO doesn't exist.

Well, that's pathetic. But not at all surprising.

My best guess is that no GM actually read that and the blechdepp (bot) sent you an auto-response.

My experience with Cryptic/PW customer service is that the first response or two will take a few weeks, and be absolutely useless. Even when you get a human response, they won't read your message and will close it out, saying 'update this ticket if this doesn't handle your problem.' Which you can't, actually, do once they close it. Which they apparently don't do.

So you have to submit the same bug, again, and take pains to say 'I submitted this before, it wasn't answered properly, THE IMPORTANT THINGS ARE X Y Z'

After 2-3 times and a month or two, you will get an appropriate answer, which will probably be 'bugger off.'

Although once on STO I actually got a very nice response from PW customer service and they went out of their way to help me. About ... one in four times?

Auto-response...but really, shouldn't their auto-response be to the correct game?

Lyrics to a song i really should ACTUALLY make at some point, brought to you by Snake.
From the perspective as if i was a dev.

    -

    I'm a Cryptic dev and i don't care,
I copy and paste from here to there,
    I'm a Cryptic dev and i don't care,
Taking all your money cos you're buyin' all our wares.

I spend all my time eatin a lot of McBurgers
Forgettin' to copy from test to live servers.
They say pets dont work and i dont care about CO,
That don't matter cos im workin' on STO.

Bug reports counting to 1.5 million,

Not surprisin' they're leavin' and there's more and more Brazilian.
Dun wanna go readin' them cos they give my head a splinter,
I'll make a script that tells them go and play Neverwinter.

    Oooohhhh..

    I'm a Cryptic dev and i don't care,
Spend 10 minutes and i've made a new lair,
    I'm a Cryptic dev and i don't care,
Deleting all the content leaving no drops left that's rare.

    ---

    Still workin on it.

You know that Cryptic's customer support is truly something awful when they can't even get the template of their automated-canned response right. It's a whole new level of bad.

Hate to say it, but STO has had "space rings" for years.

Well, that's embarrassing. The CS team is pretty slammed with NW tickets right now, so a lot of tickets (especially for issues that require QA to look into it) are having to wait for a few extra days. Rather than keep people waiting without a response, I think CS is sending quick templated responses to make sure players know the tickets were received. Looks like someone used the wrong response. :/

    Sorry about that one, folks!

Awww look on the bright side, at least it didn't state "and thank you for playing Neverwinter"...

Mistakes happen. It's just that this mistake feels so appropriate, given the state of the game. The lesson isn't to not make the mistake, the lesson is to not get the state of the game to that point.

But you can't do anything about the state of the game. And we have no access to anyone who can do anything.

Trailturtle, I love you to death and we've long established that you are welcome to come over to my house and poop with the door open.

But, this is going to sound harsh.

I don't want to see you apologize for any more of these things.

You aren't making these errors. And as much as I know that this is your job, you are limited to 'apologizing'. Not your fault, but I think if anyone needs to come and address the plethora of concerns, it's the people who have the ability to DO SOMETHING about those concerns.

Have those costume problems been reported up, by the way? I made a thread that is updated on the first post for the ease of reading.

I've got no timeline, I'm afraid. It'll almost certainly be after the final part of the Forum Malvanum.

Cryptic probably overlapped the Neverwinter launch with Forum Malvanum this way to ensure that developers weren't yo-yo'd to CO and back to NW in the event of some indescribable awful in NW's launch window. This schedule allows a more orderly transition back to CO as Malvanum runs its course, then BAM! $#?^ gets done in CO and we're set back to rights.

    Ain't that right, Jack?

I had the nemesis boots and the hood in my bag . I tried transferring them to my hideout bank next to the other pair of them I had. They just vanished.

The second outage on Saturday validates this thread, though, doesn't it.

STO and NWO get their servers up and running fairly quickly, but CO simply gets a "server maintenance" message.

Likewise, STO and NWO forums got Dev/Admin posts, and CO forum got nothing.

    Does CO exist?

We have been getting a steady supply of events..in the form of Server Disconnections

We were warned of The Supreme Imperators FOOM! attack namely AoMSD (Area of Mass Server Disconnection) but no one took it seriously..now look...we should all remember to BLOCK in the future...

Should anyone be surprised that NWO and STO gets put up fast and at the same time while CO gets done eventually? Even though they are all on the same server and equally share the same problems.
