Like the title says, I am an old fart, by gaming standards anyways. I am a 53 year old fella with three grown children and 8 grand babies that I LOVE to talk about endlessly! Been gaming since they had flippers and silver balls, and will keep gaming till they have to roll me over to put on the next Depends. Well, unless someone would be kind enough to hand me the controller........ Anyways, among the numerous MMO's I have played, I also have come from CoH/CoV in a circuitous manner. Played from beta till a couple of years ago when my machine at the time just could no longer keep up. Was actually looking to get back in it when I discovered it closed, so came here. Doubt anyone would remember me (since I am just that kind of unremarkable guy, heh heh), but on the off chance My latest main was a darkness/zombie mastermind went by Dr. Muerto (danged if I can remember the server name, nor the great SG I was in *waves a bit at Icey if she is out there*...old age and bad memory really sucks}. So, like what I see here so far here. In fact, been cruising the SG forum to see what kind of suckers, er, I mean nice people will take in a grandbabies talking, alt addicted, pvp sucking old fart like me. Anyways, here's to seeing all in game.

Hey there, welcome and I'm sure there's something for everyone, from a fellow altaholic to another, I've been with CoH/CoH as well from the beginning to it's end. I'm @metalphantom, and my gf and I play evenings off n on, we're not hardcore gamers, we like to "Achievement" or Perk hunt, help out in anyway we can and just have a good time with anyone we come across, young or old. From our little 2 man SG (Seriously, just the two of us right now, haven't found any members yet) The Perfect Strangers. We welcome you to messege us anytime in-game if you come across us! Take care!

Welcome, there are quite a few older players here, partially due to people seeking a MMO based on a classic, tabletop role-playing game. I'm in my late 40s.

Having grandchildren will probably be an asset, allowing you to cope with some of the more vocal younger players hanging around until NeverWinter Online is released.

Superhero stories, done well, are about modern archetypes.

A Prootwaddle is one of the weirder player-character races in "The Fantasy Trip", Steve Jackson's first published role-playing game.

Yup, was reading a thread on that. Already encountered the "hang out at Kodiak and duel challenge the lowbies" crowd. Really need to find a button to turn those things off.....
