I figure I'd post my own heroes up and write a little on my thoughts on their design and such, maybe inspire others, get thoughts on designs. Or just show off, hhhheheh.

Diver started out when I wanted to make an aquatic-themed hero, so I made a combination of diving outfit and superhero tights to get this look. The colors are partially inspired by Kick **** with the primary green, and is a dual blade user who follows the theme of a hero with corporate sponsors (too bad there aren't any logo-style decals for tights). He punches sharks, or pets them, he slices pirates, teaches kids about marine biology, and has a line of frozen fishsticks!

I am a big fan of Westerns, particularly the spaghetti and neo subgenres, and I was also looking to make a power armor user. So, I combined the two, making a cowboy-themed armor for this gunslinger (exploits the ability to fire two gun mojo with PA attacks if you are quick on the draw). I went for some southwestern style colors on him, trying to make his gunbelt stand out too. Vaquero fights for the Mexican government with his custom power armor, living the life of a glamorous hero to distance himself from his mediocre-to-bad civilian life.

Next I wanted a mutant animal man, and to make him as far from normal looking as possible. I went for a spikey, slightly over the top design as a throwback to old cartoons like TMNT, Street Sharks and Biker Mice. Rat started as a Glacier of all things, before I went freeform and experimented until I made him a bestial dps. Rat is a lab technician who took some 'extra work' for more pay, becoming a guinea pig for a mad cosmetic scientist. With his escape, he know works the street level as a nighttime mutant hero.

My next idea was for a hero based on the art deco pattern found on several armor pieces by default (rather than the lifetime subscriber stuff). I reworked this fancy superhero a number of times before deciding to limit the armor pieces and instead pair them with ordinary tights and a jacket, thus enhancing things like the boots and helmet. The cape rounds out the outfit of this lightning tank, the third in a line of heroes culled from leaders in business, art and science.

This started out as a joke that I decided to play straight: 'Wouldn't someone with telekinesis be fat if they didn't have to move?' A once semi-famous telekinetic with his own family television show, who fell on hard times after cancellation into a life of rampant hedonism, now trying to shape up again. I went with a 'fat' body template and made up a costume that would have been his old stage outfit. The dirt stains substituting food/grease stains, bad hair and stubble show off his has-been status.

My most recent creation was the result of me struggling to make a magic-oriented character, without the medieval-style fantasy trappings. Taking inspiration from Bluhman and others, I cobbled together first the hat and mask combo, inspired by The Shadow, and the rest came out with the help of a friend. He's an undead detective slash celestial mage, the torso, boots and hat to give him a modern-day feel with his crucifix-like gauntlets and flowing sash.
My last is a wasp alien that makes weapons and other items out of pulp and other organic material, though the design was borrowed from a friend and thus I won't be putting it in a thread with my own designs. Two more are on the way, though!
