Having R&D headaches

I got a level 40 character with a science level of 101, why is the science level so low you may ask, the main reason is the science store will not allow me to purchase cap increase. Now i have double checked and triple checked my missions to ensure that the tutorials from this new .... R&D system system were done and they are. I recently turned a ticket in on it and got a confirm in game but not thru email so if you would be so kind to follow up on this :rolleyes: thanks and please let me know what you found out wasting skills points daily because its .. just please check it out thanks.

    Are you fusing anything or interacting with crafting nodes to try and increase your crafting skill level? What you buy at the store is simply a cap increase, not the actual crafting level.

    So base = 1 to 100
    T2 = 101-200
    T3 = 201-300
    T4 = 301-400

    If you;re at 101, then you are above the base tier, and simply need to fuse?find nodes to raise your level further.

    Not just any mods either, but rather ones from your crafting school, I.E. Science, Mysticism, or Arms.

    Ashlocke was my original forum name but was unable to keep it during the PW forum migration. *Shakes Fist* :frown:

    Yes I Am Aware Of That!! But I have been fusing for past month trying to finally increase the level yet there is no increase, there is a problem with the character he is not leveling. Please don't tell me the obvious. This isn't new I'm just finally tried of dealing with it he has been at that science level a little over a ten months.

    The point Bioshrike was making is that your cap is currently as high as it can get. Once your skill reaches 190+ from fusing/exploring nodes, you'll be able to buy a cap increase. Then you'll have to work your way up to 290+ to buy the final cap increase.

    Cap increases are not just locked by level, you must meet the minimum level AND skill requirements. The system is working properly in this regard.

    OOOk let me try this another way I'm not saying there is a problem with the system other than I like the old one better but that's my opinion. Is there a way for me to check that toons files for corruption???? Something isn't right he isn't leveling.

    the level of the mods you're fusing may not be quite high enough for it to increase...try fusing higher level mods (like rank 3-4) mods...I've noticed in the leveling of one of my character's skills that after awhile rank 1-2 stopped increasing my level...then I fused a Rank 3 and You're skill level is now ***

    Same thing with investigating R&D nodes: eventually, you outlevel them, and need to find the next higher range to keeo getting points.
