Just wondering, I'm making a slightly themed char. Does anyone have any tips? I'm wondering whether Force/Fire or Force/Lightning would work better in a build?

I think Force/Lightning might work better, since Force is Crushing damage and the Stormbringer passive boosts crushing, lightning and ice damage.

What powers are you specifically wanting from either of them?

I'm not after specific powers, just wondering in the ways of energy, damage boosts ect to maximize potential. I didn't know that about Stormbringer, that's useful thanks. How do you post those builds to the forum post. I've lurked a lot on here, but not really posted much.

I asked because if you just want to say "I'm using both Force and Fire" or whatever, you have a bit more flexibility in what you pick than if you're saying "I want to specifically use these attacks from two different sets, how do I make them work together?"

As for the build you posted, it's a decent start, but it has a ton of somewhat-redundant attacks, and no heal aside from Resurgence (which is on an Active Defense cooldown). It's workable, but you may want to drop a few attacks for either utility powers or heals/defense/offense boosts.

Lightning Arc is really solid, and is probably all you'll need for single-target damage. If you start with the Elec energy builder instead of Force, you can take Lightning Arc without taking Chain Lightning.

Gigabolt and Force Cascade are pretty redundant with each other. They're both 100-ft ranged column AoE that are expensive energy-wise. And charging Force Cascade will temporarily deactivate your passive (if it's an Energy Form, and Stormbringer is). I'd pick one or the other, not both. Gigabolt is easier to make work with an energy form and can be tap-spammed to clear out weak enemies after its initial charge. Cascade's better for an initial spike, but the knock can annoy teammates, especially in Alerts.

Crushing Wave is, in general, pretty bad. Lightning Storm is not. I'd pick one (preferably Lightning Storm).

Field Surge will pop like a balloon under any substantial amount of incoming damage, and it shares a cooldown with Resurgence. I'd swap it for Electric Sheath with the Matter-Energy Union advantage.

Force Eruption is a decent anti-melee button, and the damage boost from the advantage is okay, especially if you're stationary while casting (which you will be with Lightning Arc and Lightning Storm).

Force Shield is a great block, and Ionic Reverb is one of the better energy unlocks in the game if you're using a lot of attack powers from Electricity.

Inertial Dampening Field isn't as good by comparison as it used to be (back when it wasn't classed as a form and was basically free damage reduction), but as a power it works better now than it did previously. I find it better suited for heavy bubble-spam builds, which this one could be but currently isn't. You may want to consider swapping it out for Concentration for more damage. If you keep it, take it to Rank 3, as it actually has decent scaling with ranks now.

Stormbringer's awesome, but an Elec/Force build with it suffers from there only being one good attack in Force to actually use for damage (Force Cascade), and Force Cascade then eating the passive for ten seconds doesn't help its case. If the graphic of Elec Form is compatible with your concept, you may want to pick that instead.

Though at that point, coupled with the other suggestions I've made, you're into "Elec build with Force support". Which may or may not be where you want to be.

If you're okay with "Elec build with Force support", here's my suggested build (also includes some tweaks to the spec tree options):

    http://powerhouse.nullware.com/powerhouse.html?v=5&n=Cosmic%20Streak&d=1857c8X57aW70D0100012031503170014041B031A04370433043603QG007D057F00KB042Q493bCV0iqx

Between life on kill, Rapid Recovery, Protection Field and Resurgence, you should be pretty okay on healing/survival. Especially since an Electric Sheath/Dark Transfusion/Sonic Device buffed full-charge Gigabolt will wipe out packs of enemies with ease.

Now you're probably saying "but Dark Transfusion and Sonic Device aren't Force or Electric powers!". They're not. But they're also somewhat graphically-neutral (Sonic Device looks like a Force power, Dark Transfusion will end up looking like a glowing outline around you if Elec Form or Elec Sheath or Protection Field are up) and they add a lot of usefulness to the build (Stun, extra damage, extra energy). I take Dark Transfusion on my "blasters" because I think it thematically represents that "overloading your powers temporarily to do more damage at the cost of strain to yourself" thing rather well.

You may also want to consider swapping out the Ego secondary for Intelligence. A bit less damage boost, but you're already hitting diminishing returns with the Aggressive Stance/Best Defense combo. And my variant of the build doesn't have many knocks.

Could also swap Concentration for Inertial Dampening Field, depending on preference.

If you don't want to be "Electric Build with Force Support", pick the attacks you absolutely want from Force and I'll try to help you build something to work with them.

The original concept was developed outside of CO. He had a mystic helmet that granted him cosmic powers. Cosmic energy manipulation, Gravity manipulation and Space/Time Manipulation. I wasn't sure how to represent space/time so I went with a theme of Gravity/cosmic energy. I considered fire for the energy and force for gravity (hence the kicking everything around). I wasn't sure if they worked together and a friend did a solid force/electric a while ago. That's why I asked. As for your build, it looks pretty solid. I will give it a good go. As long as powers look vaguely energy projection I'm not bothered about them. I don't mind having force as support. It doesn't have to be exactly themed how I imagined, I just like making cool builds :).
