Thanks to Cryptic for giving me something to listen to music without watching the videos.
Although that MMO for that last one is still a good idea. I think it should be the tutorial.
To be honest a lot of this stuff I got turned on to by someone who I met in game when I was just about to quit.
I'm a huge fan of the epic soundtracks coming out of movie trailers. They always inspire a sense of awe and wonder in me when I'm watching the trailer and listening to the very expressive scores along with them.
Danny Elfman...elf man...come on. He's not even HuMan.
CO gaming aside...
I still prefer Danny Elfman's Batman theme to his Spider-Man, but that's just me. Plus it spun off into Batman: The Animate Series which lead to Superman: TAS and that lead to Justice League. All told, it gave superhero fans just about two decades of great superhero programming.
Anyway, if anyone ever wants to sing to your favorite superhero themes, be sure to check out what this guy did. Goldentusk. It's kind of fun if you don't take it too seriously.
John William - Superman theme - is still my favorite.

I listen to them on a daily basis every time I am on CO. Heck I made a playlist that was tied around my main character, a soundtrack if you would, and most of the songs are from these artists.
I found Champions Online Original Soundtrack playlist and now I understand the whole game is about tracking
down villains who have illegitimate copies of the Champions Online soundtrack, thats why you hear these songs!
I think this great soundtrack just got beaten into the ground by repetition and awful ambient noise looping.
It doesn't get enough love and remixes.
A touch of Fallout3 'change the music with the battle action' programming would go a long way here.
I'd make the music change with the proximity of characters with high attributes.
