Foxbat 4/1 event?

    OK, sicne this didn't happen last year, at least I'm pretty sure it didn't.

    What trout and what do you have to do for it?
    Is it cooked or raw?

    Is it a one handed skin or 2 handed skin?(I can't beleive I'm asking this)

    what time is it due to start?
    ....I think it's time to stop reading the forums and type letters.

    I don't think we ever got a word blurped about the event after the 1st and last time it was on. Not a single blurp.
    I have a feeling that the current crew of starship Champion isn't even aware, that theres even is such event existing.
    Maybe it gets added to the 'Even Rotation'.....

    Oh come now - we've had this joke go on for two years now! Ever look at the map and see the Foxbat symbols that ARE STILL THERE TWO YEARS LATER?!?

    Joke has been on us all this time.

    Also, I totally don't expect Cryptic to do anything with CO for April Fools. They can't even do Christmas properly.

    It would be nice to do this event again!

    Either that or remove the Foxbat icons from the map so people stop asking about it.
    Do you have several level 40s?
    Consolidate the currencies! (Please!)
    Does your Champion have a theme song? (share it!)
    Got a funny in-game screenshot? (share it!)
    Please fix the Overdrive energy unlock! (Should help promote thematic build diversity!)

    We talked this one back and forth, but given how long it's been since we ran it, it would take some QA testing -- especially considering some of the show-stopper bugs that previous events have had.

    We bandied around a couple ideas, this included, but the dev team ultimately made the call to focus on the Forum Malvanum - no April 1 events planned. We'd really like this story arc not to have any delays...

    I didn't think it would be run this year due to the lack of a thread in the Super News Network, but I'm still disappointed. Oh well, maybe next year I'll get my trout....

    I find this kind of sad themed seasonal/special day/holiday events are a pretty common occurrence in MMOs and for champions no to have them or worse to have had them and now miss them is a pretty telling indication of the state of things at the moment.

    They are planned for next Christmas. New lockboxes with a chance of awsome lockbox costumes inside :tongue:

    That is probably going to be true, not a joke, though.

    I love CO, but my expectations are simply lower now than when I started playing. Then, my satisfaction rose to my new, lower expectations.

    I find it greatly amusing that Cryptic couldn't even make any use of already existing event, because adding new lockboxes was more important.

    Speaks something about the company and CO's maintenance mode. :biggrin:

    Yeah .. i mostly play the pessimist since i think you can't be surprised in a bad way then,

    I'm getting into Minecraft modding. Maybe I could make a parody mod out of this idea. :biggrin:

    I'm glad that the foxbat april fools event went better than the christmas event did . It started on time, and actually went three days longer than expected ( probably to make up for how short the xmas one was).

    While the "special alert" wasn't as epic as Harbinger was, it was surprisingly bug free ( except for the ones that were on purpose of course, lol) and I liked that once again they were using mechanics that made you have to move around, even if sometimes it felt like it was meant for vehicle speed rather than travel power speed ( again, we had all the same kind of "i cant get out of stuff in time" complaining that came when Gravitar first went live ).

    I never did get the foxbatmobile out of the special lockboxes (I only know one person who did, low drop rate maybekthxbai?), but as anyone who was in zone chat two days ago knows I was very happy when I got the special Fox Bat AF... I know a certain someone who really wanted it and didn't get it, and just to make his highnesses day a little cloudier, here's a link of me poking him while my AF watches!

    I made a Foxbat one a while back, up on Planet Minecraft.

    Need to edit it though, made the back stripe asymmetrical, not entirely sure if I want to add a cape onto the back, which can look silly with legs, or just fix the back and use mods for custom cape action.
