New power archtype suggestion !!

well Champions online has the Chariot vehicle out now.
how about a Gladiator archtype build ?
the Gladiator would be a dps plus tank type of hero cause he be using a shield and large sword.
the shield would stun and do massive damage to a target and can be thrown at target( aoe like the boomrange type) and the sword does a great deal of crushing damage.
this just 1 archtype of Gladiator hero to do and then theres the full half tank/dps
which leans more on the DPS damage more then tank defense.
which the Gladiator can use a huge 2 handed sword or brute gloves to do damage with or even a axe.
the moves would have to be different compare the viking warrior type we already have.
and need different defense buffs and damage buffs for it.
like a Gladiator with 2 handed sword or axe can jump up and lunge dive to target and do loads of damage( say aoe type )
thunder double kick to target does push and crushing damage.
a shield attack can stun and do crushing side burst damage like swinging the sheild around and jumping up and slaming target with shield does aoe damage.
a lunge attack with shield would stun and push target away and do aoe damage.
a shield block attack and striek with sword or spear would be a good damage attack/blocking !( like what brad poit did in Troy )
a lunge side step move to target to stun and swing sword to targets head would do massive damage.
I have other ideas for it but figure this would be a okey starter.
any of your ideas would be nice too.

    Interesting idea.

Should check out Ask Cryptic Answers, gives a vague idea of what is on the horizon for the rest of this year.

As per that link, Telepathy fix before any new Archetypes/Powers! You're asking for new powers, and most of what you want could be fudged in a Freeform slot.

OP, you may want to check out the Suggestions forum, as this topic may be better placed there.

Anyway, if you haven't already, check out the Alienware promo - you can get the Devastator AT for free from it, which is very gladiator-like:

Technically, between all the various types of gladiators that existed historically and the costume creator, you can do plenty of gladiator-type builds already, even just using free ATs.

The Behemoth may be a bit on the defensive side, but works for a cestus.
The Blade works reasonalby well for various types that primarily used a gladius for a weapon; the main problem here is really there's no real shield-like bracer costume pieces for optimal optical representation.
The Unleashed makes for a fine dimachaerus (it's not like you actually use the force powers much, anyways).

That aside, if Cryptic ever do decide to finally implement a physical shield type block, putting it on an AT would be stupid - it'd be a great buyer's incentive in terms of selling subscriptions or freeform slots.

Well, you can farm Mechassassin for his shield bracer, the Golden Age costume set has 2 types of shield bracers, (one with a big star on it and another that can have emblems put on it), and there is the large gladiator bracer that looks like a more form-fitting shield.

Still, some more traditional shield-shaped bracers would be nice, (they would have to be placed a little differently, though, as the current ones are positioned to look good while idle but don't quite line up if used while blocking).

Oh, and the earth block creates a large physical shield, too.
