I want to make a Link themed character (Not clone) but I'm not sure the two power sets I have in mind work well together, Single blade and archery? Anyone have any idea's on how to proceed with this I'm all ears =)

It dosent have to be 100% exact, but I would like it to stay some what in the spirit of the character (no guns, but magic isnt out).

It could work, Some key skills would be Quarry, reaper's caress, reaper's embrace, storm of arrows, and bountiful chi resurgence w/ advantage. I'd also heavily suggest taking form of the tempest and having dex as the primary super stat and having intellect as a secondary. From there you can build it to fit your needs.

EGO primary could also work, despite the focus on range, the severity spec and Force of Will are comparable or better than what DEX has.

Link is primarily a swordsman, but also has a bow, some thrown weapons, explosives and a bit of magic.

You'll want an aoe sword attack for your main attack. As I see it, there's three main paths for this:

    1. Single Blade - Reaper's Caress + adv - probably the most thematically appropriate.

    2. Heavy Weapons - Cleave - Link is more an agile sort than a brute, but it sorta works...

    3. Dual Blade - Sword Cyclone - Obviously having a second sword breaks theme a bit, but it has the signature Spin Attack

You could also use Laser Sword or TK blades I guess, but lightsaber and flaming pink magic sword seems pretty far from concept.

For your Energy Unlock, you'll probably use MSA. Not really many other options. For your toggle, go with Form of the Tempest, as that works at range as well as melee.

Ricochet Throw can represent your Boomerang, and is both your ranged aoe alpha strike (charged), and your ranged single target attack (tapspam).

Storm of Arrows is a ranged aoe maintain with a root advantage. Torrent of Arrows is a ranged charged aoe with a knockback advantage. Both are on a short cooldown, useful for MSA. Both are useful for pinning enemies down so you can Lunge in and finish them with your melee. Pick one.

Your passive should be Quarry, as it boosts both melee and ranged and Audacity helps with MSA and ranged damage.

With Quarry boosting Dodge/Avoid, you may as well take advantage with BCR + RR and Evasive Maneuvers. These also help with MSA.

So... basically it'll look something like this:

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Dexterity (Primary)
Boosts Form damage and energy return
    Level 10: Intelligence (Secondary)
Boosts Audacity and energy return from MSA
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)
Because pretty much everyone should have a Con secondary

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Devastator
    Level 6: Field Ops Training
    Level 9: Paramilitary Training
    Level 12: Martial Training
    Level 15: Covert Ops Training
    Level 18: Wordly
    Level 21: Negotiator

Talents aimed towards boosting your Rec, Str and Ego because you probably won't be gearing for them.

    Powers:
    Level 1: Reaper's Touch
Level 1: Reaper's Caress (Rank 2, Cleaving Strikes) Melee aoe
Level 6: Smoke Bomb Lunge (Sudden Strike) We'll say it's a Deku Nut
Level 8: Form of the Tempest
    Level 11: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 14: Storm of Arrows (Rank 2, Achilles' Heel)
    Level 17: Quarry (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Resurgent Reiki) Um... fairy heals?
Level 23: Ricochet Throw (Rank 2, Rank 3) Boomerang
Level 26: Dragon's Bite (Rank 2, Rank 3) Rush buff + single target melee
Level 29: Reaper's Embrace (Rank 2, Rank 3) Single target melee burst. Can replace with whatever.
Level 32: Force Shield (Force Sheathe) Um... Nayru's Love?
Level 35: Evasive Maneuvers (Rank 2, Sleight of Mind)
    Level 38: Masterful Dodge

    Travel Powers:
Level 6: Swinging (Rank 2, Flippin') Hookshot!
    Level 35: Teleportation Farore's Wind

    Specializations:
    Dexterity: Combat Training (2/3)
    Dexterity: Gear Utilization (3/3)
    Dexterity: Deadly Aim (3/3)
    Dexterity: Expose Weakness (2/2)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Slaughter (2/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Modified Gear (2/2)
    Mastery: Dexterity Mastery (1/1)

I agree with most of what oniganon said, but personaly I would go with athletics, and swinging, and I would want to fit grenade or something in there to represent the bomb, Link wouldn't get anywhere without those.
