We were running through, you know, killing stuff and getting to the boss. Then, fighting it. Took a while, but there was no tank, so my pseudo-squishy self kinda filled in for the most part. And, it was going well until about halfway through the fight...
When the harbinger's hp suddenly fully refilled out of nowhere. Half my team left as a result, and it took 20 minutes of trying to keep myself alive to even notice, since the team tracker doesn't show all 10 people for some dumb reason.
I don't mind losing or having a hard time because of a challenging mechanic, but really? I dunno if everyone died at once (again, no tank, thanks queue system) and that reset it, or what, but run 28 and all I've gotten was that action figure about 20 times which I can't even sell. **** it, I give up.
Anyone else experience this? We had the freaking thing down to 1 bar and it fully recharged out of nowhere.
In game, I am @EvilTaco. Happily killing purple gang members since May 2008.
This has happened before, but fortunately it only happens early on for me. There needs to be someone on the Harbinger to keep him occupied or else he instantly heals to full for some reason.
'til they fix it, the only solution is distract him while the others kill the Exocets. Kinda dumb.

Yeah it happened to me once while on a run with turtle. Except Harbinger would reset his HP after every time he turned invulnerable.
It's happened to me 2 times out of around 125 runs.
Im going to guess here...but i think this might have something to do with perception debuffs. When you add gas pellets with frost hound r3 and smoke nade...it wouldnt surprise me if by him losing all targets he makes a reset.
It may be another problem for him being so big. You're far enough from his center point that you could be considered out of fight range when he loses track of players and then his health resets. Just like when you leave the fight.

That stinks. Even Grond does not fully heal just because heroes disengage with him. Although Mega-D does, so...
It happened when we were chasing exocets, so I presume it's the perception thing. My assumption is that previously, we had a tank about constantly engaging him so this didn't happen. 's what good tanks do, because otherwise he'll swing out at random people who fly by, and that friggin hurts. But, being tankless, we didn't have such a luxury.
God, that was the closest this game has ever gotten me to hucking my laptop out a window and shooting at it. I guess that means the boss is well engineered, because I was *really* into it at that moment. The team was sub-par, and tankless, so it was honestly a good challenge. Until...
Sad part is I don't even really have a tank right now, so I can't personally solve the problem. I've retconned all of my 40s that are worth anything gear wise into dps hybrids. I mean, just not having a tank? Whatever, I can pretend at that with a few of my characters. But dedicated tanking that thing without worry, so we don't get a full hp reset? Ain't nobody got time for that. I already flail on the buttons when I'm tanking during the main fight like, well, this:
I'm just disappointed because it wasn't a boss mechanic that wiped us. I'd accept a legit "screw this, we're not gonna take him in less than an hour" loss. But to get him down that far and have the game engine go "nope, too far away"? Total immersion killer. And I know it's too late to fix for this event, but devs? If you please, at least up the range on this happening.
I hadn't even thought about the perception debuff thing, because it didn't matter with Grav when they worked on her. Do smashes and such work the same way? I've honestly never encountered it.

Has happened to me only once, when it took too long to down the exocets.
I became wary of that and whenever I see everyone else trying to build threat on the harbinger during the invulnerable phase and there isn't enough on the exocets, I will alert the team to it.
Too many players want to just dps the harbinger and leave the exocets to others sometimes, though tanks should be the only ones building threat during it's invulnerability.
Hearing stuff like this makes me kinda glad I'm just ignoring the event's simple existence...
That's a shame, despite this issue the mission is fun and while it will get stale after a while probably the most cinematic individual mission in the game.
I've done the event six(?) times and it hasn't happened yet. Though now I'm wondering if I should re-think my 'run away' strategy once Ferret draws aggro. Or just start doing it with instead with my tanks.
Had a Lemurian event today where we lost half the players (whether through quitting or crashes, I don't know; it was kind of laggy). Took us like half an hour or so to take the Harbinger down, but we never had that reset problem. And Spider-Bat leveled during it!

I was on one like that too. By the time the priests started the ritual I only had 3 people in my team and I think the same in the second. But we had a great tank and two very high damage dealers and everyone who stayed tried to do a good job and it worked out.
Oh, hey, one of my guild members randomly handed me a lemurian tank. Another gave me the neck. because 34 runs in, all I've gotten is the stupid BOE action figure.
Never underestimate the kindness of random people, I guess.

I just assumed the tank was BoP/Bind to Account. I don't recall getting the bind dialog when equipping the Lemurian tank but that is my first vehicle. Is the AF the only thing that is BoP?
This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Oh yeah, bop. Can I typo an entire concept? I think I did.
Also, lol, I didn't get what you were saying at first. I just got the mental picture of you punching one of those elastic balloons tied to a rubber band, that you get at a fair.
Yeah, I don't know either. O_o

Hard luck on those drops, man.

Just a guess : multi perception debuffs.

Took a bit longer than usual but was still fun.

Hopefully that just means the Mobs disappear and the Harbinger (that is what it says when you target him) stays like the carrior defense did.
This just blew my mind when I heard this the first time.
...can't they just make another zone to put the Next Big Thing into?

Tank is Bind to Account on Equip.
Action Figure is Bind on Pickup.
Lemurian Collar is Bind on Equip.
Odd one to make BoP.
Thanks for the info.
A few more times into the breech then to get some tanks to hand out.
