Do Quarry's Audacity stacks affect their own scaling?

Like the title says, I'm wondering if the INT/EGO buff from Audacity figures in temporary buffs (particularly Audacity itself, Aura of Primal Majesty) I know they're capped at 30, I was just wondering if there's a feedback loop beforehand, which would lower the base INT needed to cap them out at any given rank. I think I can figure it out myself, but if someone already has it'd save a lot of bother figuring out how to get the fine control of one stat that I'd need.

I'm guessing so. Quarry runs off Int, which it boosts. So it would boost itself, but veeery minorly.

I know that Audacity stacks when mixed with the Con spec that gives boosts to SS's actually boosts your health when in combat (Minorly, yes, but still.) so I'm pretty sure it would factor in it's own boost.

Yes, Audacity does loop with itself. I can't remember if the applications just refresh existing stacks, or apply the new values to existing ones.... so it's between 4-6 applications to achieve maximum scaling, which is just one maintain anyway so it doesn't really matter.

While sure it is a minor buff per stack, it adds up. My Muni toon (186 INT) starts with +18 per and ends up with +24 per at max scaling. That's a difference of 54 if it didn't scale with itself vs 72, which if you're not taking EGO as a SS, is very very nice for getting to the softcap. So, not that minor of a buff after all.

my archer has quarry up to 95% and 48% with 3 audacity stacks(yes, it scales to 3... not 4 or 6)

the stacks do have a soft cap, 30 per stack which you can easily reach with 300 INT.

What I meant was as gaining an instance of the buff. Yes, it stacks to 3 times. But every time you attack you gain / refresh the stacks.... which is a 4th, 5th, 6th, etc application of the buff. But does it scale additively until 3 stacks (such as: +18, +20, +22) and then the fourth application applies increases scaling across all current stacks, or do you need to gain additional instances and "replace" the lower scaled stack of the buff (which would lead up to the 6th application)? Or does it refresh itself at 2 stacks (such as: +18 on the first stack, then +40 at 2 stacks instead of +38).

With how fast it stacks up, it's mostly irrelevant anyway... but it seems like you weren't following what I was saying.

partly, but anyways... the amount is static, scales on int alone and nothing else, as in, there is no fourth fifth or sixth, it stops at 3... and acording to your int and rank on quarry is what you'll get from the audacity stacks, up to 30 depending on your rank and int.

i think you weren't paying attention to the tooltip, since it clearly says "per stack"

kelborn is talking about the third stack being refreshed and continuing to build in scaling from the higher INT at three stacks. And I believe he is correct.

My Quarry user has INT as PSS, so he reaches 30 in just three stacks, so I can't verify this on my own.

they stack three times, ofc anything between the 3 stacks will overlap. in any case it does not overlap when you have 30 per stack at base(no audacity stacks) you will still get 90 to int/ego nothing more so other than that there's no scaling. hence why i said it's a static amount, because after 30 the audacity stacks won't go up anymore. they're capped at 30. i still don't see how after you get the third stack(90 int/ego) you'll get more int and ego but ok.

First of all, not everyone has it hardcapped at the start. Yes, you want to get it hardcapped (or close to it) by the 3rd stack. I'm cheap and lazy and only have R4/5 mods, so no I don't have +30 at all. EGO is my Primary and I'm focused heavily into that, not INT.

I did some testing and only the 3rd stack is refreshed. Stacks 1 and 2 are only ever at the value when you first gain them. Going off of my Munitions toon at 186 INT:

Stack 1 gets me to 205, stack 2 gets me to 226, and stack 3 gets me to 248. Broken down, it's +18, +20, +24. The third stack scales itself immediately upon application. Watching the mouseover tooltip, it stays +18 before any applications, +20 after the first, and +22 after the second. On the third application it changes to +24, which is immediately scaled or my INT stat would read 246. If all 3 stacks were +24, I'd be at 258 (+72).

So, the stacks scale independently of one another. Which is good to know when finding the value for getting the max scaling out of it. The only way you can get +90 out of it is to have 300 INT from the start.

only the 3rd stacks gains the total benefit out of the other two, and that has nothing to do with interntal scaling and everything to do with your int, guess what? audacity gives you int...

the higher your int is, the more you will get from each individual stack... it doesn't matter how you look at it, it's a static amount based on your int. and just for the record, it wouldn't be 24 on all stacks since you know, your int will be higher so it would be more than that.

i rather be effective than lazy and cheap... just saying

When players ask me about Quarry builds, I always advise them to aim for 250 INT. which gives you the optimal +25, +27, +30 audacity stacks. Plus it's a nice figure to simply gear for cooldown reduction without having to compensate for cost reduction, and makes the most out of your actives.

This thread is really going over some people's heads.

Thanks for the nice info, wimpazoid. Sounds like 250 is the magic number.
