Update, Bleak Harbinger Mission

Unfortunately, the launch of the Lemurian Invasion mission is going to have to be postponed a week. Many of you saw the mission on PTS over the weekend and gave your feedback, and the dev team planned to spend part of the weekend implementing your feedback.

We had a network issue that prevented that from happening, unfortunately. The devs were able to plan the changes they're going to make, but were not able to start building them. We've had to push the launch of this to next week.

The good news is that this does give us a little more time to implement feedback. I don't yet have a full change list, but I should have it in a few hours.

So, recap: New launch date for the Bleak Harbinger mission is next Thursday (February 28), and same for the new bikes. This'll be the big climax for the Lemurian Ivasion mega-event.

P.S. I had the meeting with the dev team and it went really well. We came up with a couple good ideas and hashed out how we could release them in a way that made sense. There were a couple ideas that we looked at and shot down because of infeasibility, but a majority of them were tentatively greenlit. The next step for this is on me.

Thanks alot, glad to see the feedback that many gave is being used.

Can we stop calling it an epic event? It is really just an epic mission. I mean there really isn't anything that has changed in the game minus a few spawns arount UNTIL. 5 minutes of missions and a alert is not reeeeeaaaallllly an event.

My thoughts on this: Click Me

As for the devs actually responding to feedback, kudos.

Hmm, so I am guessing the dispersed magic from the Bleak Harbinger's defeat will have an adverse affect on Telepaths everywhere allowing the powers to be put back on the PTS :tongue:

Glad to hear things are progressing well, and as always, I look forward to more, when it comes.
Hug the devs for me, please? I know they deserved it. And everything is better with hugs.

When the event comes out in full completion, depending on the changes being made and how much it is different, we'll know for sure if any real resources and real dev time is being put back into this game. We'll know if anybody is going to be brought back onto Champions full time when NWO is finally out.

We WILL know if Cryptic is just wasting our time and hope on this game or not.

The last made me smile. wouldn't mind using the "Ironclad Defense" on this Kraken :-)

That said, its good to see some actual response to feedback. Alot of us were
feeling like we were talking to a wall.

Do you know if we're getting anything besides the bikes in the Zstore update? You don't have to tell us what.

So does this mean you are the person writing the SoTG and UNTIL Field Reports?

Specifically where's the hold system revamp and where's the Telepathy Powers?

Oh my... if the Champions really showed up in the end would be totally awesome hahahahaha. I so can see them doing it lol.

What, doesn't Witchcraft like it when Defender penetrates her building from the other side?

-Ability added to Bleak Harbinger: PFF with 500 shield regen per second.

Thank you for working on a difficulty increase. I do think that you may want to AT LEAST double that PFF regen as 500 HPS will not be much more than a speed bump for many players.

-Champions added in final cutscene to take down the Bleak Harbinger and take the credit.

Awesome, we are finally seeing a bit more adherence to the IP lore. Those Champions are a bunch of glory hounds.

    >_____________________________> U kidding me? With his damage resistance + 500HPS per sec...he'll be..a challenging mechanic!! YAY XD

Now if only PFF was per sec...:p 796 HPS per sec on ForceGirl's PFF FTW!!!!!!!
    -Exocet speed increased.
I think we all know this was needed most of all, the Exocets being able to out fly heroes and vehicles to some extent wasnt enough.
-Champions added in final cutscene to take down the Bleak Harbinger and take the credit.

Good, I can just see Defender penetrating through the rock mass of that Harbinger at the end with his [Defender's Laser Sword of Ultimate Penetration], before Sapphire's singing drives the Lemurians back to where they came...and Witchcraft bending reality to put everything back to the way it should be and Kinetik running around with Nighthawk flinging shurikens everywhere, oh and IronClad will be running around in the Cut Scene spamming SURRENDERVILLAINS!SURRENDERVILLAINS!SURRENDERVILLAINS!SURRENDERVILLAINS!SURRENDERVILLAINS!SURRENDERVILLAINS!

Yep I would really love to hear something about telepathy again any day soon.
I mean...was it really put on the pts so many months ago just to never let it be seen again after that?

Ok I know that is a mean way of asking a question but a lot of people are looking forward very much to the telepathy rework that was promised to us.
